fuck me man im sorry im going through something myself where an idiot friend scratched my hood and bumper real good on my 4 week old car but its a lease and a mass produced vehicle ill survive
it pales to this absolutely brutal

the best way to look at it is this was done by someone who is miserable with life and u cant let them bring u down the car is fixable but also its one of those knock the dust off ur shoulders moment where people who do this are beneath u and while they may momentarily impact u, ur well off enough to fix this and enjoy many other nice things like this while they can stew with their moserable existence for the rest of their life

that is super ishty. Sorry. So that's definitely a paint job. You could have it feathered and airbrushed and it would be very hard to see. really though, side, repaint.

The rear quarter is the worst as it is a big paint job. I have xpel on my whole car and if someone did that, it would scratch the paint but the xpel would have to be replaced and that panel is about 1000 or more.

I eat at Ruths all the time but in a different state, don't have an issue but we have douche bags here too. hence the full body xpel.

If you live in douche bag country, you might want to get the front-rear camera system (blackvue?) that records even when the car is off. a guy keyed an Austin martin in the UK and was caught because of this type of cam.

As a fellow SO owner... I weep for you. and right around Christmas time too. What a fucking asshole. I hope you can get this fixed properly without having a shop rape your wallet.

Also look into a 2 channel dashcam. The Blackvue 650 is very popular.

I'm sure it won't protect it if the person keying the vehicle is very forceful, but it should protect/prevent severe damage during a "walk-by keying".
