i know that CPO sounds like a great idea, and if you only plan to keep the car for two years it is. bear in mind though that most, if not all CPOs are former leases that received (if they were lucky) three years of free BMW-no-maintenance. certainly more time consuming, even aggravating to shop private and you have to be willing to travel and patience is required. however, you'll discover better cars at the same prices and often lower than at BMW dealers. under no circumstance would i buy from an off-brand or used dealer for cars this new. E46, different story because those are hard to find. F8X not hard to find. the very good news is that when these cars are properly taken car of and not aggressively modified they are very robust. Good Luck! |

There's a very noticeable torque difference between my 2015 M4 and later ZCP models. I know it's supposed to just be at lower RPMs (around 1850) but my butt dyno says it continues all the way through the power band. That's one reason I'm keeping my '15 vs. buying a later model comp. IMHO the few upgraded changes don't make up for the feeling of raw power on early models.

I usually just use BMW Connected and send the address there. I agree, typing is a PITA.

Not sure the '18 is worth 7k over the '15 when it comes to selling but that depends on the buyer.
My opinion....I have a '15 again: Cars are very close to the same. I personally prefer the original tail lights I had the LCI headlights on my M2 and I can go either way with them Just get the $100 coding package for all the hidden features and the GTS trans tune...that takes a lot of the jerkiness out and the delayed reverse Most tune the car..... I personally did BM3 and the M4 GTS tune. Smoothes the throttle response out and adds a little bump in power then your pretty much the same Touch screen i-drive.... they can keep that shit. My screen was always a mess on the M2 and it also makes it hard to see in the sun I would weigh variables, the cheaper cost, color, mileage, condition, specs, service record, mods, etc and make the decision There has been no real mechanical differences over the years car for car. it is mainly small electrical items Personally if all was equal I would probably pay the extra 7k and get the newer one and keep it. The '15 is a work horse but it is 3 yrs older. I personally bought another '15 last year but I was looking for low mileage and a cheap cash price |

You mean your iDrive voice recognition isn't working? I never type-in addresses in my 2015 F80.

I've tracked my 2015 M4 for over 4 years and well over 100 track days and it never bit me on track. I daily drive it through all 4-seasons and even in winter, never did it exhibit bad behaviour. Quite the contrary actually, I found it was a real pussycat to handle, but you do need to know what you are doing. It simply not just a mash and go type of car, you need to drive it. The chassis was super nimble and responsive with tons of torque available on demand. And this is what made it such a pleasant machine to drive.

You have to admit, for someone who isn't tracking cars, or doing performance schools they have a much higher chance of wrecking the older models vs newer. I never had an issue but i also know how to modulate the throttle but many people have heavier feet |

At low speeds, you are either bucking, and if you put it through you are lighting up both tires. It's actually a huge pain in the ass, i rarely ever floor my car below 2nd gear at 4k rpm. I am running pretty much R comps now with the RE71R and only recently started experiencing a good hookup at low speeds. With stock conti's or pss's i was kicking the rear end out going in a straight line doing 80kph. Disaster waiting to happen. |

Ive owned both backwards actually. 2018 then a 2015. Id go for a low mileage 2015 and save the money for mods repairs etc. The headlight/tails arent that big of a deal to be honest the 2015 m4s look very very modern still. the 2015 also will provide you with a super fun learning curve due to its software/power delivery. not much really breaks on these cars In stock form so the warranty is honestly not even that helpful(in my experience). Also the 2015s had a insane warranty that lasted many miles and even covered items like brake pads so this likely means that the 15 was treated a bit nicer! can't go wrong with most f8x m3/m4 tho. drive safe
