Will the boot spoiler from my old F32 fit my new F82?
I have an M4 style carbon boot spoiler on my 440i currently. But, I’ve just purchased an M4 now, and I’m considering putting it on the F82 if it is compatible.
So, if anyone knows if it will work, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Ian |

No.
The M4 has an integrated duck tail in the rear decklid.

Without seeing a picture, it would be impossible to know 100%. However, the F82 deck lid has a slightly higher, longer contour than the F32 does. Even if you can put your existing spoiler on, it may not look proper.
Edit: CanAutM3 ninja'd me there, but I agree with him insofar as it won't fit as it is intended to fit. It might still technically be affixable to the M4 deck lid, but as I say, it may not look right (nor function correctly for that matter, to the extent that it has a function to begin with). I just wasn't sure the size of the part in question - if it were a tiny 1" wide, very thin carbon strip, for example, it might be tolerable. But probably not. |
