Shipping back to the states

Evening! Or morning.

This is the first time I'm personally shipping a car back to the states.

Two questions.

1. What are the best company's to ship back to the states with with?

2. I'm looking at installing a down pipe. Would that be caught by the company or customs or whom ever in the states. I'm just wondering if I would have to reinstall the original cat to ship it back.

Thanks in advance.

I can answer Question # 2

You will not have any issues due to the fact that you are not adding but merely replacing existing equipment that should be present.

I'm leaving to Germany with ///M in six months. Are they strict on down pipes and exhausts before transit?

The big thing now is sound. When you go to get your car inspected, they will do a test to see how loud your exhaust is. If it's too loud....you fail! It has gotten so bad that you actually can't buy the BMW MPE over here anymore. I would get it tested before you leave and verify where you are and try to make any changes before shipping it over here. Also, the German Polizei are notorious for doing "spot checking" for things and are starting to issue tickets for "loud" exhausts.

I did not ship from the U.S. Unfortunately I still have not heard of any recommendations for shipping to the U.S.

Shit, really? I just found one in the US with MPE. Do you know the dB limit? Or is there a thread with exhaust noise levels noted?

I saw 95 dB on a spec sheet recently here for Germany but didn't know if that was legit or not.
