M3 Rear Ended Leaving Work

Well I was leaving work and my m3 was rear ended by a coworker. Waited a long time to get this car and seeing it like this a few months later is pretty heart breaking, luckily everyone was okay.

Car was shipped 600kms away to get fixed (I work in a small town). The trunk lid has a dent and the bottom was pushed in enough that I couldn't lift the bottom trunk cover (access to spare compartment).

How bad does this damage look? Am I eligible for some sort of diminished value being in Canada (car barely has 13k kms)?

I am not sure about diminished value but this damage is easily repairable. i have had similar type damage fixed on my E46. However, in my case the color matching was a non-issue. I have heard Mineral White is a pain to match.

Diminished value is up to your insurance, but it’s tough to get it here in the states.

I’ve heard it’s actually impossible to have mineral white match unless you respray the entire car. What a price to pay for such a great color.

first off from someone who just came the same baffonery earlier. just let it go now. its just a car. but time will heal your dissapointment. the bumper doesn't match anyways since the material is different. Im not sure about the trunk lid but im sure a good body shop will make it close enough. I got my rims refinished in the back and its a tad darker but w/e fuck it

dimished value is going to be a headache especially if its older....the market it upside down so to say so proving its going to be tough
