Took a Drive up the Oregon Coast
Took the day off from work today and went for a drive up the Northern part of the Oregon coast. There are some great twisty roads where I got to stretch the M3's legs, which needless to say was a lot of fun! Took some pics at random spots along the coast line. Hope you guys enjoy!
Location of each pic (if anybody cares): 1. Rockaway Beach 2. Nehalem River 3. Manzanita Beach 4. Oswald West State Park 5. Cannon Beach (Goonies fans should recognize Haystack Rock) 6. Ecola State Park 7. Astoria Column 8. Astoria Column 9. Atop the Astoria Column 10. Astoria (overlooking the Columbia River) |

Nice shot in front of Haystack! I did Ecola/Cannon/Tillamook a couple of weeks ago. Hwy 6 from Tillamook is my fave route back to PDX. Check it out in the fall, lotsa hardwoods and gorgeous colors.

Thanks for the kind words all. Glad you guys like the pics!
I started my trek in Tillamook, taking Hwy 6 there, then worked my way North. Heading back home from Astoria I took Hwy 202. I HIGHLY recommend 202 for any of my PNW brothers out there, what an incredible road! |

Totally agree about 202! Have you driven Rowena Crest yet? It's short and sweet much like the roads post Vista House towards Multnomah - but still worth the drive!
