The real sad part? It wasn't even a Mazda SPEED 3! Just a plain jane Mazda3, with the 2.5l engine. And let me tell you, that 4 cylinder 2.5l was too much fun! TOO MUCH! And the sound it made (please, hold the laughter), reminded me of the metallic tin noise I got from the e46 330xi. I don't know what to say, because I know it sounds silly. But all the reviews were right. It was one hell of a fun car, and I would take that trip again, 10/10!

How the heck do you convince yourself to buy a Mazda 3 after owning an E92 M3???

Either way, it's the journey that makes the experience and we all have our own. A refreshing thread indeed.

Guessing we may see a new posting for the F80 M3 LCI within a few months too?
Thanks man! I have had it for about a month now, so that sounds about right. But you probably were confused with my constant whining and barrage of huffy puffy posts and entitled attitude, due to my car being held up in the frozen hell tundra, otherwise know as the PORT OF HALIFAX!

FOUR DAYS ... unbelievable!!! Those Canadians must have some nerves man, I'm telling you.

Looking forward to hearing more and your journey through f80 m3 ownership.
Thank you sir! I appreciate your sincere words and am glad someone out there can relate! Sometimes it feels like I'm writing these posts, bottling them up and throwing them into the cold and dark abyss of the internet! Other times, I'm afraid some smart ass will just make fun of them. But you know ... along comes a great posts like yours and encourages me to post a few more updates!!! Thank you!

Later this week, I hope!

Thanks for a great read!! Enjoyed every word. Having owned 18 BMWs I feel your "pain" My first BMW was also a 1977 e21, but it was a brand new 320i.

Getting to the end of this thread (so far) is like reaching the end of an episode of Game of Thrones...you just don't want it to end!!!

This has been one of the most entertaining threads around! I love the pure and honest reflection on each of the cars and your ownership experience. Far too often people put the blinders on and can't see past the emblem on their hood

Somehow, I feel like you were destined to post this...I mean what other reason did you have to snap pictures of the Altima and Camry?! Loved em by the way!

Thanks again for sharing, really a great read!

Amazing story. I share your enthusiasm for vehicles outside of the M world. Not a brand whore; LOVE the Mazdas. I take my mother's for a boot at least once a week.

Really cool story, thanks for taking the time to write it! I agreed with everything except for the e9x M3 part but I guess I'm sort of biased.

Glad you like the f80, enjoy it in good health!

I also spotted this beauty when I went in to take a peek at my M3, being unloaded off the truck. What a nice surprise!

It's food... There are a few different versions of it, but I'm not sure which one he's referring to. I've never had it, but it sounds like he likes it enough to incorporate it into his handle.

I read it, just killed a bit of time. Looking forward to more.

More dammit, more!!!

It's like you're narrating the feelings I had when I took delivery.

Don't forget to emphasize and re-emphasize the remorse you have for choosing AY, such a horrible color
