Powerflex bushings VS Turner Dual mount plate W/ ECS bushings?

Does anyone have any experience with either the Powerflex purple bushings VS the kit sold on ECStuning with the Turner dual mount w/ECS red 95a bushings?

What’s the difference between these kits one has the plate and the other doesn’t. Anyone have any input? I daily the car it’s not for track usage or anything but I do want upgraded suspension components. Thoughts ?

Howdy!

I have a mixed set up.

I have the ECS in front, and the Turner with PF in the rear. I gained some drive train whine, but I do not have any thuds or bumps. The tranny noise did get a bit more pronounced. But I was expecting all of the above.

Performance wise, it is more planted, and the kangaroo's have all but disappeared. The most important part is I will not need to worry about tofu soft bushings failing in the future.

I'm planning to get the turner diff bracket and add 2 BMW OEM V2 poly/foam bushings.

It seems like the most reasonable solution for a daily driven car.

Here is a video.

Btw in terms of NVH, the ECS bushings WILL add diff whine and clunking.

I've had aluminum diff bushings on my former 335is, and if you can live with diff whine, you might as well go with full aluminum bushings so they never need to be replaced.

I feel like poly bushings with added diff whine and clunking is a deal breaker. You might as well go with an OEM+ solution with no real downsides or all out race car with aluminum bushings if you track the car hard.

Just ordered the turner plate as well… just in time for the upcoming holidays to install haha.

Planning to go with OEM V2 bushings. Will report back on how everything works out.

Are most folks just replacing the rear-facing bushings and leaving front-facing alone? I've never done this kind of work, would there be a significant difference in terms of work required to gain access to do all vs rear-only (if also doing the Turner plate)?

Thx

Depends what your goals are. The rear bushing is the problematic one. Front, not so much.

Purple powerflex bushing user w/ the Turner diff brace. 6spd manual. No issues or clunk of any kind, no diff noise either.

Did you leave front bushings alone?

I went with the KMP Diff Bushing & Bracket set on my GTS...damn nice complete setup. Noticeable increase in gear wine.

Add in some solid transmission and engine mounts...anddd lawd there is some nice feedback. I also removed all rubber bushing in the suspension with a set of Ohlins TTX. LOL

Went with ecs bushing. Front and back. Confirm it is noisey but drives nice. Feel like on rails. Close to Porsche ride. Good mod even with noise it creates. Will upgrade later to powerflex later. Not in a hurry. But ecs way better than oem. Very glued to the road.

Does anyone know if the white Powerflex logo text on the anodized bracket can be removed with paint thinner for a clean look?
