Anyone help identify upholstery code?

Hi all,

Trying to order a replacement dashboard and am struggling figuring out what the right color/stitching code is

Dashboard is individual, walknappa leather I believe, with a mix of white and black stitching. Picture of it here below.



This is what I'm getting from realoem in the 'Individual' section, but am clueless on which combination is the right one.



I'm guessing the ZASM or ZASW options might be the one's, but then am confused about sstitching combination.

If anyone knows or understands how to read these codes it would be great!
Alternatively, if anyone can tell me what color the stitching is on my dashboard, could be helpful (I'm calling it white, but might be something more specific).

I also might be wrong and it's not individual, just full leather as I have Full leather Merino/black (X3SW) on vin, but can't find the corresponding dashboard on realoem with the same stitching

You're a bit confused, mate.

Your car has the standard non-Individual Full Leather Merino interior in black with Light Grey stitching. Code X3 for all Full Leather interiors, X3SW for Full Leather Merino Black (yours).

Disregard the screenshot in your second post because it is for the F30, not the F80.

Yes, you could Individual interior in all black, code Z1XX, but that was for when you wanted Individual stitching (any other than Light Grey) and any other Individual options for it.

And yes, there was a separate option for Individual Leather dashboard but only in conjuction with Individual leather seats (amaro, cohiba, etc.) because those did come with plastic dashboard and door cards as standard.

I would be looking at this page under Vehicle Trim and cmd+f for X3SW with no HUD: https://bimmercat.com/bmw/en/search/...M3/ECE/51_3817

It seems the PN is 51458057586, but I strongly suggest asking your local dealer to search for it in their latest BMW ETK because all these online versions are very outdated by now.

I'm looking for the identical dashboard in my original post, walknappa leather with white and black stitching, but with the HUD as I'm planning to do the retrofit

As per your suggested search route, I found this 51458057590, which leads me to this link https://www.hubauer-shop.de/en/instr...458057590.html

Now what confuses me, does the schwarz/schwarz label refer to upper and lower dashboard leather color or stitching? If it doesn't include the stitching, then how would you know what stitching you're going to get? Unless it's a standard silverstone stitching for all non individual full leather dashes, its impossible to know

Also, if you google image the 51458057590 part number, which is supposed to be the full leather one, you get standard dashboard without stitching.

The only diagram that includes the stitching is the individual dashboard, and that's why I believed that was the corect one

I contacted the dealer, waiting on his reply, but I assume he'll encounter the same brick wall with lack of clear information

Yeah, it's confusing, though I do believe that schwarz/schwarz refers to the upper and lower colours of the dashboard rather than the stitching. In the attached screenshot, they refer to X3A9 Silverstone Full Leather as schwarz/grau.

I think you're on the right path with the PN 51458057590 still. I wouldn't trust the adverts much, idk. I know that for the F30, there was the option of a Walknappa Individual dashboard with all-black stitching in conjunction with basic Dakota leather seats. It was just the leather dash and the door cards and everything else was plastic. Not available for the M3.

By the way, I've found the same dashboard you're looking for on Kleinanzeigen. You're in the EU so might be worth sending them a message. At least ask for the part number if nothing else lol. https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-...10731-223-7057
