Did anyone saw them cheaper than above? 4500$ is a great price, I guess that's without pads?

Here's a full list BMW M PERFORMANCE M SPORT RETROFIT BRAKE KIT - RED - BMW (34-11-2-462-268)

It comes with brake pads. I'm shopping for the same at the moment for my M3 CS. However, ordering it online requires you to submit your VIN on any of the BMW parts stores and if the VIN doesn't specify that the parts will fit (even though we know they're interchangeable), I have seen them rejecting the order.

The coding is S2NHA for the M2C brakes. Without the coding, mine felt like it had air in the system despite pressure bleeding 4 times. The coding makes a massive difference to the pedal feel and needs to be done IMHO.

What are the coding values and can this be done in BimmerCode?

Installed a set this weekend on my M3 CS. Gained approximately 26lbs total over the blue brakes according to my bath scale.

Do we need to replace the dust shield? Also bump if anyone knows the necessary coding...

This may have been answered – but i couldn't find it...

When upgrading to a 6piston front setup, what's stopping people from using the swapped OEM F8x 4piston on the rear.

(It looks identical to the 4piston you'd be buying in the upgrade kit.)

Here's the code S2NHA

The rear dust shield's a bit larger in diameter, but the front air inlet's different. May let a bit more airflow in with correct dust shield perhaps.

Rear rotor thickness is incorrect for the front caliper. Rear caliper mount is also incorrect.

This brake upgrade is beautiful. Will be on my future upgrades. Way cheaper then the carbon ceramics.

samsamdar - trying to do the same thing myself. See my post in this thread https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1374158 for where I'm at.

Did you manage to figure it out?

theMpower - how noticeable was the change? I *think* I've done the required changes as per my link above and maybe it's a placebo, but it feels "marginally" better. But it's not night and day different and it's still a long pedal.

I had the same question. Fronts are easy (well, heavy, but easy). Rears do seem to require the entire wheel carrier to come off to remove the dust shield. As I'd like to transfer those over to my ohter car, I don't want to cut them, meaning that the CCB dust shields must be ordered and installed. Right? Or am I being stupid not seeing something obvious?

No need to replace rear dust shields.

There are no "6-piston" lines, there are just brake lines. Keep the original OEM lines or upgrade to aftermarket SS lines for F8x.

The rear disks are 380 mm diameter for the M2C, and 370 mm for the non-CCB M3. They don't fit, and in fact they touch. What am I not seeing here? Do you suggest trimming them or cutting them?

Revise your install, something is not fitting correctly.

This is the 380mm M2C rear rotor installed in an M3C (with CCB rear caliper) with standard dust shield:

Thanks, very helpful. I will retry as that is not what mine looks like. The inner edge of the rear dust shield certainly hits the outer edge of the disk. I;ll check what I did wrong. Again, thanks for the picture to show that it should work... Greatly appreciated.

The 370 mm rotor fits as snug as your 380 mm rotor, and the cutout for the caliper is big enough for the standard non-CCB caliper, but certainly not for the M2C caliper. I am starting to think that for 2018, the dust shields were different.

M2C calipers are the same as the M3 CCB calipers, and the 380mm rotor in that photo is fitted with the CCB rear caliper (standard caliper does not fit the 380mm rotor) and standard shield.

Definitely you have something else as a dust shield.

Recently picked up a set of M2C rotors/calipers and will be doing this install this weekend. Ive read you don't have to cut the rear shields but in this video he does.
