Well said, last fall we knew a comp package was coming, and the rumors were strongly pointing to a spring 2016 release. If someone wanted it that badly they should have not ordered a 2016 already. I regret nothing about not being able to order those 20 inch wheels, or rims, or "lighter" seats.

Would not have been a viable option. If you are planning on doing suspension, wheels, etc... Buying a ZCP would be self defeating. Yes the power bump would have been nice, however since the engine is the same; one could probably attain those values with tuning or coding.

I'm a 2015 owner, but i'll respond anyway.
As another already mentioned, we all (at least the ones that read this forum religiously) knew ZCP was coming. Hell, there was talk even when I was about to take ED back in May that it may be coming even then with the new 2016's. Ton's of talk. There was speculation about the 2016 LCI too. Ultimately I ordered anyway and was happy with it. Regardless of what the LCI or ZCP would contain and when it would come out. I haven't looked back since and that's for 2 main reasons: 1) I love my car. It's perfect the way it is, more power than I can get down to the ground anyway....Looks beautiful and I happen to love the 19" wheels. Every time I approach the car I love how great it looks, inside and out. Every time I drive the car I can't imagine being happier with it. 2) ZCP doesn't thrill me. The power bump is modest at the very least (and most likely will be retrofitted), I do not like the 666 wheels or the seats. The tweaks to the suspension are intriguing, but I don't really have any issue with the suspension now, so.....zcp is nice but slightly underwhelming. Go all in on your purchase and never look back. That's how you get the most enjoyment from your purchases. There will always be something newer on the horizon.

I was so excited for ZCP to be released but it was a huge disappointment for me.
1. I think the wheels are ugly and too big for this car (+ 20" wheels aren't practical with NYC roads) 2. I don't like the seats; they downgrade the luxury level of the interior 3. Nothing "interesting" was done in the exhaust department. They painted the tips but I would've changed the stock tips (or the whole exhaust) anyway as they're too small It does have some minor performance improvements but it isn't worth it to me at the cost of $5,500 + I would have to get aftermarket wheels + struggle with the ugly seats.

Regret never crossed my mind. Mine finished production 8/17 and I had a great September ED exactly when I needed it to happen. Even after the excruciating wait for redelivery, it arrived a couple weeks sooner than expected. So I've been enjoying it for a while. I much prefer the 437 wheels over satan's stars and the seats seem silly to me. My kids would be kicking me in the back for sure. I can't imagine the marginal power increase will make a difference in my use. Even the greater power of the GTS doesn't seem to result in a big improvement in the acceleration numbers for short bursts, which is when most of my driving occurs.

I had and still do have the chance to order ZCP (comp package) I chose not to. I cannot drive this car at its limits as it is. What is an extra 20hp and diff suspension really going to do for me? Nothing. UNLESS you are going to track your car and you are a fantastic driver. The seats, don't hate or like them. The wheels I used to hate, but now am indifferent. So, I don't feel left out at all.

P.S. I also went through the same thing with my 135i in 2008. The next year they changed the M wheels and I think they changed the tail lights. I thought to myself "man I should have waited." In hindsight my wheels were the only year they were produced, my color (sparkling graphite metallic) was the only year it was produced. It has the goofy Year one of the one starter button. Still to this day I love the way my car looks 114k miles later!
