Imola Red vs. Avus Blue

Found a car in LA imola red with 6MT extended leather and the only down size is 19" 437 wheels but I'm OK with it. Put a deposit and picking it up next week and drive home.

I personally prefer the 437 wheels for the ride (and looks - but that part is personal pref)- although you being in Calif, it probably would not matter. Too bad no full leather, but you will probably be staring at the hood instead - nice choice of color. Had it on my 2014 650GC and it remains in my avatar.

Thanks for the feed back and personally I like the 437 wheel which is easy to clean. Most of the M3CS came with 19" wonder the wheels had something to do with ride quality.

Congrats! I just picked up my IR last Sunday and sounds like yours is exactly the same specs as mine (down to the 437 wheels). I did ask if they could slap the 666M wheels on it, but yeah, they just laughed at me.

Good choice! Since G82 is likely to retain the 6MT, I will be getting it in the first LCI year.

And it will be Imola. There is a level of heritage associated with that color that isn't with almost any other.

Did you get it from Long Beach BMW? They suppose to hold that car for me but end up to someone else hand.

I found another Imola red from Sterling which is $1000 cheaper than Long Beach and picking up next week.

I disagree.

The comp package offers so many great things, but the 666 wheels probably are not one of them. Thus BMW offered the 437s again sometime in 2017.

I say this because it seems the car just wasn't made for 20" wheels. The reviews on so many comp package M3s talk about the ride and how it's just too harsh on the streets.

I always wonder what a review of a comp package enhanced M3 on 19s (especially a late 2017 or 2018) would have been like.

Seems OP made the Imola Red his choice. Not a bad pick either way, especially since the Individual color is free! I paid full freaking price for my Avus Blue when I ordered it - and I don't regret the choice 2 years later. It's actually interesting that so many Avus Blues were produced for this last hurrah of the car.

The individual color is not free BMW added $1000 to MSRP, I compared it with my previous 18 F80 Comp last one MSRP was $65,500.

Congrats on the new whip, Imola is such a great color and props for the 3rd pedal, too. Love my AW, but would sell for Imola.

Looks great on silver 437's too, though.

Took the delivery today in LA and the ride on 437M wheels is pretty flush, logged in 520 miles for the trip and already set up for the 1200 miles service.

Ive owned both, E39 M5 with Avus, and my current E46 M3 with Imola/Imola. Love both.

Would likely order an M3 in Avus, and an M4 in Imola, but I couldnt tell you that either or is nicer than another.

red one is better i think but think about between the mt and dct much more.
