I am working with another local dealer who has 2 m3 at the VPC scheduled to arrive next week. Both are specced in colors and options i like with CF roof. The big problem is they are DCT and I really had my heart set on a manual instead of another auto. But at the same time I know I will do ED on a comp pack car when released and I own DCT right now already. So maybe I should settle. They are willing to make better deal too.

This is what I did...hopefully I have good news tomorrow (rather than sometime in 2015)

Man, I got nothing. I haven't been in contact with my dealer for a couple weeks now after I told him to cancel the order. His response was "OK", then called back saying they wanted to make BMW compensate me because of this delay. Pretty much BS and haven't heard anything since. I need to call him up and get my deposit back because even if the car gets here in March I'll still probably need a set of winters.

Anyway, dmk08, you're in Georgia?! Man, there's a pretty sick deal at a place in Atlanta...

Damn.. $94K?!? That has to be every available option including CCB and dealer premium markup... mine stickered at ~$83.6k and had almost every option but no CCB. I would like to see the window sticker on that thing.

Just texted my CA and haven't heard back yet. I am praying mine is still scheduled for a week 46 build. This is getting pretty ridiculous that they take 3 plus months to get a car to you from order to delivery...

After some heavy blows back and forth my ordered dealer is going to match all original trade in values etc. So I'm pretty happy with that part. Still concerned about the timeline. He said he will have his ordering guys reach out to the ports today and try to get a legit update.

A few have come in here and posted they were told their car would ship next week I guess. Any other updates on that?

It looks like new builds are still going OKAY. Most in this thread are done with production and just waiting on a wheel retrofit. I finished production 9/23 for example and my car has been sitting in status 181 since.

I finished build 9/12 and am still in 181.

As far as my date at PDC on Nov 14th...I am keeping that date with no delivery at that location...compensation is IN the package.

At this point I am giving up my trade in early Nov. so my dealer does not lose out on that (what I am trading is not used in the winter anyway).

I already have winter wheels & tires for the M4...so when it arrives we hopefully shall become "friends".

The update my CA got back from the port seemed to mimic the report I read in another thread. 'The issue is close to resolution and my car should be on the way soon.'

I just joined your forum group, and therefor am just joining your conversation, but I am also waiting on an M3 sedan that got held up in the 19 inch wheel drama.

I ordered mine black/black with the black wheels. I was pretty excited that the dealer was able to change an existing stock order into what I wanted, and change it to a priority sold order which "should have" made a big difference in wait time. I placed the order on September 8th, and it was built on the 18th. (Week 38) I thought, hey 10 days later my car is built, that's awesome. Then I got this dreaded news.

So much for using the car this year at all, as winter is fast approaching it seems. This car will be a garage queen for the winter months anyways, so it was frustrating to lose out on being able to enjoy the fall season with my new car before putting it away. I was originally told mid-late October for arrival at dealer, so that would have been great.

F80 owners, please reassure me that this car will be worth the wait... as I'm losing patience.

It's worth the wait. I have test driven a couple.

Sucks about the winter weather. I'm in GA so at least I can drive year round on summer tires. Can't wait for that cold air BOOOOOST.

Welcome to our "select" club....you have no idea what you have been missing
Sincerely I think the vehicle is worth the wait and I am in the same weather belt as you......BUT I have winter wheels & tires waiting for it.
I do not do garage queens (except for my Motorcycles & MKIV Cobra), used my GTR during 4 winters-AudiS4 before that. I know those have all wheel drive My feeling is either you know how to drive or you don't.
Why get seat heaters, warm steering wheel, & neck heater if your not going to use them?
Looking forward to getting it within the next 3 weeks, on order since early July
Good news is as of today I am out of 181 and into 193...YES

I just called the 800 number and the recording still says "being transported".

I emailed my CA, who still hasn't acknowledged that there is a wheel retrofit, yesterday for an update. He still hasn't gotten back to me. So my guess is that my status is still at 181

I called the 800# and then went to a live person for the update.

I have made a habit of doing so twice a week since the delay.

It will probably take another 3 weeks to be delivered to the dealer according to the SM at the dealership.

I did read the thread. Good times.

Due to owning a towing/recovery business, my time spent in any sort of "personal car" in the winter time is minimal at best. When I do, my daily driver is a Ford F150 Raptor so I'd choose that over the F80 in the snow anyways. I had an E46 several years ago, and it was awful in the snow. Its not a matter of not knowing how to drive, just a preference of not wanting to deal with summer tires in the snow, or have some other person slide into the car. Not that I want my truck getting hit either, but you know. Also the Raptor has a winch on it, which gets used a lot in the winter months when we get bombed with calls for people stuck in the snow. Trust me, mine won't be 100% winter time garage queen after waiting until December for it to come in. I'm sure it will get some road time on the "nice days". LOL

Glad to hear your order status got moved along. From what I'm reading, your car was produced only 6 days ahead of mine, so hopefully mine will be on its way soon also.

Is anybody able to confirm compensation for the delay? Spoke with a resolution specialist yesterday, and my car is still in 181. He said I'd BMW would be offering compensation once the issue is resolved and I actually have my car.
