oil type change

Question… when doing an oil change, do you just drain the old oil - I have Motul 5w40 in there now - and then after draining put in the new Castol Edge 0w30 oil? Does anything need to be flushed through to get rid of the left over film of the old oil?

Stop overthinking it, change the oil like normal and don’t worry about it. Viscosity might be affected slightly from the residual oil but it won’t matter.

^This! After an oil change or two after, most of the residual oil will be minimal or diluted to the point where is it negligible in performance and wear.

We know it is a M3/4, but after all it is a car.
