A fair compromise for what I want. I have a dedicated track car that I use more than the M3. Since there is no way to exploit this car on the street I have to get it on track every once and a while to have a little extra fun!!!
Any issues with tramlining and NVH?

No, not really. There are times on certain surfaces that the tires seem a little loud but it's not consistent and not bad enough for me to change anything else.

I run the same camber setting for both street and track, about -2.5deg on the F8X. I have been doing so since my E46 M3 in 2001.

I thought others might like to see my alignment and corner balance settings. I drive with these settings on both the street and track.

hey terry! nice meeting you yesterday---seems like you know some of my coworkers from Sonoma as well.

i really liked your brake ducting setup as well!

question on your camber plates, since you've had them for a while now: is there any additional maintenance required, or significant clunking or other noises during street driving? thanks!

There were some bad ball joints very early on. I was a very early user of the GC plates. They replaced the ball joints for free and everything has been quiet since. No maintenance needed that I’m aware of. Great day at Laguna except for my so so times. The new Stoptech BBK was a nice addition to the car. Solid braking all day long.

I'm not sure this is true, though I'm happy to be proven wrong.

I know from lots of reading that suspensions are complex and not obvious.

I talked to a very experienced friend of mine (and E92 owner) and to the race prep shop that did the camber plate install and both said that moving the camber plate settings would require a re-alignment. That is was not so simple as changing the settings from street to track.

Can someone point us to an information source that is definitive?

Thanks, Jeff

There's nothing obvious about it. However, in the E9X (and likely previous generations), removing camber when you had track toe settings yields toe movement in the correct direction.

Feel free to be skeptical, but there is zero doubt about my statement.

This is correct - toe moves from in to out when increasing negative camber. It is possible (i.e., doable) to adjust camber and toe at the track.
