That may be your valves being opened or closed during start up.
The start up roar worked perfectly before I did the cold start delete. Now it is like the video above

I'm of the same mindset as you. The start up isn't that big a deal. Just kind of weird that there hasn't been any updates for over a year and there are a bunch of little bugs that many people have had issues with for a while.

Try M2 button after first start button press and then start the engine. Seemed to make a difference for me. I also turned cold start back to OEM so that might be part of it. Felt it was taking too long to warm up at the beginning of a drive, but maybe that's in my mind.

M2 button is dynamic, meaning the user chooses what it does.

Yep, same issue. Worked with support for a while and they kept asking if I actually clicked save when I enabled it. Then had me mess around with cold start rpms. Then wanted to remote log in to see themselves but didn't show up on the appointed time. And at that point it was such a hassle I gave up.

Understood. I was assuming people have M2 on Sport or Sport+ throttle. I also have valves open for both Sport and Sport+. I think valves open and Cold start OEM is what made my GTS roar work properly.

What exactly is happening?

If you email Support@PROtuningFreaks they help pretty quickly, but requests sometimes stack up on the weekends.

contact PTF and they will take care of it asap, from personal experience we are normally running behind Monday/Tuesday, we start catching up on Wednesday and by Friday we are fully caught up

Android is supported, but we all have iPhones here. No direct experience on that platform.
