Things to do during ED trip b/n Xmas and New Year's
ok guys, this will be my 1st ED trip if everything works out according to plan. I plan on getting an F83 M4 vert. I'm hesitant to do the trip since it will be in the winter time, most likely after Xmas and before New Year's, because of the good chance of snow. I assume they will have winter wheels and tires on her. I drive my M3 during winter with winter tires on so familiar with it on snow.
my question for u guys that have done ED or live in Europe is: is it worth doing ED during the winter time? I plan to be there for 1 week. if so, can u guys suggest the things I can do to enjoy Europe during winter time as I am clueless. I will definitely be there during New Year's. routes, hotels, restaurants, activities, etc. would be greatly appreciated, especially where to be on New Year's Eve! thanks for any inputs! John.

I haven't done an ED in the winter time, but after 15OCT through 15APR, you're required to have at minimum A/S tires on the car -- it's called out on the BMW ED FAQ Page -- http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...liveryFAQ.aspx
Your M will come with summer performance tires.... Definitely not what you want to be driving on the Alpine Roads...or the Autobahn for that matter in cold weather/snow. You can rent winter tire/wheels while you're in Europe, caveat being you must return the car to Munich, so they can remove the winter tires and put your delivered wheels/tires back on before it's shipped to the US. Enjoy your ED trip....it's top shelf and a fantastic way to experience your BMW in its natural habitat Cheers,
