ED accident

Today the worst nightmare came true. I got rear ended in my 2 weeks old M3. My fiancé and I are OK which is the most important thing.
The car's condition isn't so bad.

Right now I'm having a déjà vu. 6 years ago exactly same thing happened to me. I bought my first BMW which was an E46 M3 and after 2 weeks of ownership I got rear ended by some lady.

The thing is I still have over a month left with the car. In 3 weeks I'm getting married and will be using it as our wedding ride.
There is a possibility to fix the damages here using party's in fault insurance (Allianz). That way I can still have a nice car for the wedding day.
On the other hand the lady from ED insurance advised me to leave it and have vpc take care of it but that will delay my redelivery.
I also have a friend who can cover the damages with a wrap if I decide to leave it.
I'm just looking for some thoughts and ideas since I don't think clearly right now.
I appreciate any advice.

I'd let VPC take care of it (quality and color match will be on spec with factory new).

Damm that stinks, see if BMW will extend some good will, considering your wedding plans and give you a loaner so that you can drop the car off sooner than later for VPC repairs.

No brainer; let the VPC fix it. Just rent a car or drive it as is the rest of the way. Sorry that happened to you.

Definitely let VPC repair it back to factory spec. Just rent a car for the wedding.

Won't be on the carfax. You won't take a hit on the value.

Man, that sucks. Sorry. Agree with everyone, definitely let the VPC take care of it. Looks like it just needs a new plastic bumper cover. Hell, these are practically disposable parts these days. You won't notice the difference when you get the car back.

In terms of your wedding (congrats!), like some others above, I'd just rent a nice car. Not the same, I know, but a VPC repair is basically back to factory "new" status.

If money is not an issue, I would just drop the car off for shipping right now and rent a car for the rest of the trip.

I appreciate everyone's input.

Dropping the car off sooner is going to be difficult. We are in Poland and will be staying here until the wedding.

Do you guys think I can ask either BMW or Allianz to take care of one of my payments?

I m sorry to hear that. Agreed with everyone said, definitely leave it to VPC to fix it. In term of payment, I dont think BMW will cover that.

Gook Luck!

What possible rationalization would you use for BMW to cover a payment? They had nothing to do with you getting rear ended.

Given your past experience, just be thankful that you got that out of the way and that it wasn't worse. Drive it and enjoy it. Just have your buddies decorate the back of the car for the wedding day. Maybe a nice big "Just Married" sign...

Like others have said, I would recommend dropping it off ASAP for shipment and letting the VPC handle the repairs. It shouldn't take more than a day to drive to Munich and drop the car off and then rent a car and drive back to Poland.

Dropping it off early also has the added benefit of reducing the time you will have to wait for the car to be redelivered to you in the states.

It's just a bumper cover. This won't add more than two days at the VPC...

I'm not going to let that ruin my plans. I'm dropping the car off to my friend's shop tomorrow. He's going to come up with something to temporarily cover the damages.

I called Allianz today and they reassured me that VPC is the best option there is just like you guys have said.
Once again thank you each and everyone of you for your input.
