I took it off, thought about it for a day or 2 and tried again with more 3M tape and better hardware. Still didn't help. Removed it and emailed Mike. Took 5 business days to get a response. He says he needs pics of it on my car to file an RMA with the manufacturer. Oh, btw - the box came with a label from Mod Bargains lmao. I emailed him saying I've already installed this POS twice, don't want to install a third time just for pics. No response yet, been 2 days. I also got the "don't send follow up emails or you will be sent to the bottom of the queue."

This lip was part of a $1,100 order where I also bought CF mirror covers (turns out they are stick on and not replacements - that is on me, a CF CS style spoiler (fitment wasn't great on that either, and XPF tips.

The one positive I will say is they helped split the cost of shipping in half, but that's the only good I can say.
What you are dealing with is completely different, As far as i know you are not returning the XPH parts
Your issue is with the GT lip, that's not an XPH part. the warranty works differently for that one since we have to file the RMA for a defective product with the manufacturer.

At the end of the day, you will always get your money back with us but it takes a little bit longer because there is a third party involved.

I understand that you would like to verify the part is yours however how is seeing a picture of it on my car going to accomplish that? The part was shipped from Mod Bargains. Like I told you in my direct email this week - if absolutely needed, I can put the lip on (for a third time) and send you a pic, but I'd rather not have to if I don't need to. Please keep in mind I bought three other items from you, which I kept. I also don't appreciate your comment "as far as I know, you are not returning the XPH parts". This comes off as you are flat out saying I'm keeping your lip, and sending another back.

You miunderstood my comment. I did not mean it the way you took it. I was only explaining the XPH parts warranty.
If you got an XPH part and you are not happy with it, we take it back right away or exchange without even asking for pictures. This applies to the tips, mirror caps and other XPH products you got.

The Lip is not the XPH brand, so the XPH warranty does not apply to it. We have to go with the third party's warranty and they ask for pictures.

FRP.... FIberglass reinforced plastic. From the looks of the lip it looks like straight fiberglass, and very thin layup. With that said, being that thin if it scrapes on something it can cause the seams to get fine cracks in it, over time the cracks will travel and eventually open more and finally fail and come apart. The lip should have been reinforced between the two parts during manufacturing. Most manufactures do not get that involved because of production cost. Cheaply made carbon and fiberglass exterior parts will feel weak. High quality parts will feel very solid when handling them.

OP Hope things work out for you, quality companies usually stand behind there product!

With looking at the way it fits, it’s no wonder it cracked. Post a thread asking for lip recommendations, that appears to get a super fast response from the vendor here. Lol.

I'm just going to get a used carbon fiber lip from someone in the member classifieds. Can't trust anything but carbon fiber. Thanks everyone for your input

This is the kind of half ass response that infuriates customers and is the same exact response you've given me in another thread. If you were intent on resolving my problem you would REACH out to me. I've done my part already by reaching out to you by PM multiple times already. You have my order number. You continue to refer me to some e-mail (that I never received) and fail to own the situation and resolve it amicably.

I will be creating my own thread highlighting the complete failure in customer service when dealing with this company, because in my case I waited over a month and didn't receive all the products I ordered.

I dont understand how is me asking you for the order number so I can take a closer look infuriates you? Would you prefer that I send you the question about your order number in a private message instead? If so I will send it to you now.

I understand you are frustrated but i cannot find your emails or order unless you send it to me and i cant help without it

Edit: You are making the assumption that I know your username and remember that we spoke privately. I get hundreds of messages, I was not aware of that. Now that you mentioned it , i searched my email for your username and found the conversation. All you had to do is tell me we spoke privately and i would have been able to find it

Im sorry to hear that you had such an experience with this product.

You got the product in perfect condition, you even sent us pictures of the product installed on your car without any damages. After driving the car, it looks like you hit the lip and damaged it.

We do not cover damages after you install and drive your car. Thats not a part of the warranty, but with that said i offered to refund you all the profit i made from the kit to cut your losses which you declined.

If you had received the part and was not happy with the fitment, we would have taken it back at zero cost to you.

If you got the part and you were not happy with the quality we would have taken it back at zero cost to you

But you cant install the part , drive the car, hit it then ask us to refund you for it.

FRP parts are a lot less pricey than carbon but they are not known for their durability with hits. We do offer the same product in Carbon. You chose the cheaper FRP option. Unfortunately, that's one of the risks with FRP

Im sorry for your experience with us and wish you the best of luck, i would still like to help you with the cost if you change your mind about my offer
Looks like the OP is complaining that it disintegrated on highway speeds.

For what it's worth I have a full CF kit from XPH and it's held up fantastically. I've scraped the lip multiple times without issues. Also I've never had any difficulty contacting the guys at XPH. Seems like this is a freak occurrence to me.

Maybe you hit it and didn't notice? Seems absolutely impossible that highway-speed alone caused this damage.

Lips are not designed for damage. There's a few posts on here of people wrecking every brand you can think of.

If you need a strong lip, get the lightweight one. Anything else is...expect the worst. Especially of your car lowered or of you drive in an area with poor roads.

Because photos can be misleading. Will you commit to the statement that you inspect and test every lip such as this one to make the bold claim that was in perfect condition? And If so please explain and show us all your inspection process. I'm sure everyone else is curious as well. Also you mentioned 3 times about a partial refund but never answered me how much? It doesn't matter. I don't want the money from you, and this was never really about 200 bucks. My bank is going to assist me with recouping my losses anyway.

And to the other fellas, this was not a CF lip, this would never happen from true carbon fiber. This was, a defected, internally weave structure damaged fiberglass composite lip. But hey whatever what do I know, it doesn't matter I'm just a customer at the bottom of someone's queue.
