Torque Values....Important??
Question on bolt Torque values in our F80 platform. How necessary it is when replacing the down pipes and the MID-pipe.

Always apply proper torque values as much as possible, or you'll find out the hard way why the recommended values were there in the first place.
It's not that big of a deal from the downpipes back, but I've had an O2 sensor seize on an N55 in the past, because a buddy of mine thought it was a good idea to reinstall the sensor extra tight... |

good-n-tight is the setting. Most good mechanics simply know the feel and based on size of bolt.
The little star bolts are 7ftlbs. o2 is 29ftlbs support bracket on downpipe is 7ftlb v-band is 16ftlbs |
