BM3 vs MHD
Hey Guys,
So I just sold my e93 335i and stepped up to a F82. I'm ready to tune my car but can't decide between BM3 and MHD. I used MHD (and jb4) on my 335i and was very happy with it. I figured I'd be using MHD this time around as well but it looks like BM3 has the lead, at least for now. I have tuner that can tune using either platform, but prefers MHD. Honestly I'd prefer MHD as long as it had all the features of BM3. I'm just interested in a custom tune, but also want the GTS DCT tune and burble adjustment. Any input is appreciated! Thanks. |

Yeah Ive decided to go with BM3, even tho I prefer mhd, it seems like they are still catching up. I'll probably switch back to mhd once they are a little more developed.
That said, I'm ready to pull the trigger. I see a few guys selling used, and reason to purchase new vs "used"? |

If you indeed plan on switching to MHD later down the line...buying bm3 New will allow you to re-sell the license .

Only thing MHD has over BM3 right now are:
* True Offline Flasher * True Offline Mode for Diagnostics, Logging, etc * Granular options for Adaptations Reset BM3 wins everything else, especially when it comes to quick support response. |

You need internet connection to authenticate before BM3 lets you go into Offline Mode. MHD does not require an internet connection at all after you download the full app.

That’s done just once or else it’d make no sense. Once you do that you don’t need any login just click that offline mode button which goes yellow when it detects the car.

After MHD is installed via the Google Play store, it does not require an internet connection at all... however, this doesn't make MHD the better flash platform, true offline mode is just one of the very few advantages it has over BM3. |
