I’m actually ok with the color. Lots of prior M cars have had a yellow variant and I think they look pretty good in general. The reason I believe it looks like trash on this car is because it makes all of the design flaws look extremely apparent. The car looks tolerable in black as long as you don’t stare at the nose too long, but even a glance in white or yellow and it’s vomit time.

What looks wrong in that photo is that the shadows on the front wheel arch make it look much larger than the rear. And the 'fake vent' accentuates that.

I think that the yellow paint looks a lot better on the M4 than the M3 since it has softer lines, particularly in the side view, and the angularity of the non-Hoffmeister C-pillar somehow matches the front of the car a little better. (But just a little).

It looks like a complete mess and the rear door and fender area just looks like someone welded it on there because they could or something, it doesn’t match!

And the lines just starting and ending abruptly is even more apparent in bright colors, eeek

The only colors that’s worth on this thing is dark ones which hides as many details as possible. Not that it improves anything, it just hides more of the flaws.

You can envision the air streaming over the front end of the F82 - the lines of the hood and bumper make it look like a strict machine doing 80 standing still.

The G8x looks like someone beat the center of the nose down with a chain and the bumper bent up around it.

Is anyone starting to like the new m3 / m4?

Honestly, sometimes I see pictures where I seem to like the car, but but then the angle changes and ... ugly again. this is not supposed to happen...
I’ve been to the configurator dozens of times, but I don’t like it to the point of spending + 120000 € for it
The Alfa Romeo Giulia is thousands of times more beautiful

Austin and Phoenix Yellow look so much better, and have much more of a metallic sparkle. SPY is flat and looks like a highlighter

Agree, it follows BMW M's design ethos much better. Subtle aggression. I don't want a car that screams "I'm an M3!!!!" Not to mention the F8X just looks thinner and sleeker with its nice sharp and crisp body-lines compared to the G8X which looks more bloated and contains softer body-lines which add to that effect.

The G82 looks so hideous from the front!! Even if someone gave me a fully loaded model for free, I would sell it immediately without hesitation.

Maybe it's the camera angle, but it looks like it is a lot taller/more ground clearance. I always the thought the 4X4 comment about F8Xs was overdone, but not the G. Unless it is different in person.
