Why change the fronts? Wouldn't just widening the rears give all the traction benefit AND less understeer, greater ability to throttle steer? Maybe just add spacers on the front to balance appearance.

Uhhh, what ?

How can increasing rear grip without increasing front grip result in less understeer ?

No opposite, more understeer. More tire in the rear would increase grip, therefore less oversteer.

Increasing front tire width would achieve less understeer. With a square tire setup achieving a near neutral balance.

Going with a 275/35R19 front and 295/30R19 would sway the front-to-rear stagger in the wrong direction and screw up the DSC/ABS calibrations.

To keep the front-rear bias balance.

Since the tire will be centered, it will stick out !0.39" on each side.

Another consideration is the tire vs. wheel width.
Front wheels are 9JX18 ET:29 or 9JX19 ET:29.
Rear wheels are 10JX18 ET:40 or 10JX19 ET:40.

Michelin recommends both 275/35-18 and 275/35-19 tires to go onto 9-11" wide wheels. So 9" OEM wheels is at the minimum acceptable width, but still OK.
Similarly, both 295/35-18 and -19 are good to go onto 10-11.5" wheels, so rear 10" wide wheels are minimally acceptable.

a
It is actually more than that. According to the Michelin site, the 295 are 1.2" wider than the 275 (271mm vs 301mm). So they would protrude 0.6" more on each side (15mm).

Some folks are running up to 20mm spacers front and rear without rubbing and 15mm spacers are very popular. Since the rear tires in the OP stick out by 15mm, it should not cause any rubbing IMO.

After further research, I might opt for a 265/285 /35R19 setup. The 295/35R19 are significantly more expensive than the 285/35R19. On the vendor sites I checked, the 295 are ~26% more expensive than the 275 while the 285 are only ~3% more expensive. However, that extra rubber on the road of the 295 sure is tempting.
Yeah but do you have sidewall support with 295s on a 10" rim?

The 295/35R19 PSS is specifically designed for installation on the 10" wide rim of the F10 M5. If the sidewalls can support the weight of an M5 under load, I am sure they will have no trouble supporting an F8X .

Anyone know with this setup what spacers if any would work on a stock suspension without rubbing?

NONE, if you wish 5 mm squared set to be aggressive.

I hope so so you haven't hand any rubbing issues in the rear at all? I am not lowered yet and probably will keep it as is for now.

Good to hear, does the rear look wider than before on stock tires? 295's add about 20 mm which is not much but wondering since its on stock rims if the look is wider.

You are going to be very pleased with the wide stance you get with these 295's

please do. need more pics of this setup. seems like a great way to pick up more traction while keeping the stock wheels (which I love) and avoid using spacers to get that more flush look (I'm hesitant to use spacers since I've heard that highway shimmy is somewhat common). the fact that you reduce your odometer mileage by +/- ~2% is just icing on the cake
