About time, it should have been this way from day 1. I guess the one question is are the 20 inch rims/tires equal cost to the 19s? Doubt it so you're getting screwed a little bit here.

It's honestly like how they do with the Moon roof
or in the standard vehicles the Auto transmissions vs Manual
I wonder how it would feel turn in response wise with the different rims ZMP vs Non

Pretty pointless. A wise person would keep the 20's and then if they want the black 19's they could easily trade the 20's for the 19's plus cash in their pocket.

They really should refresh the 19's. A little change in the design would be nice and keep things different from the M2 wheels.

There should be a real difference in turning in or handling in tight corners between the 19"'s and the 666's. This step from BMW is a bit weird.

So let me get this straight?

Person pays for comp pack for added performance.

Person swaps 20s for 19s.

Person reduces performance due to swap and inadvertanly pays more for nothing.

Brilliant!

Imo they should offer a slightly modificated redesign of the 19" in 20 inch as an option in the ZCP.

Personally, I wouldn't swap my 666s with 437s even if BMW offered it for free for current ZCP owners. However, this a very good move from BMW for those who are on the fence due to 666s.

It is weird they offer the same 19" wheel, but it is still better than nothing.

Wouldn't the 19s increase performance? Lower rotational inertia, lower weight, and all that?

Aren't the 20s heavier than the 19s? Do they have any performance benefit over the 19s? I thought I read they were heavier and were actually detrimental to performance?

Correct, or use the 19 inch design to make a new 20 inch rim. THe current comp pack 20s are horribly ugly

There are pros and cons:

19": lowering of unsprung weight, lower diameter

20": lower sidewall --> better handling, turning in etc.

Good grief, anytime BMW starts giving us more options, people find a way to say it's stupid or get upset.... really?

Sometimes I think people on here are never happy. I personally would probably go this route, even though the 666's have grown on me.

Nail on the head. For months many have decried 19's not being an option on ZCP and 'the reason' they avoided it. Now it's offered and the critique has changed.

Also, they are a 1,200 dollar option, correct? So you are now getting them rolled into the ZCP option. I really don't see much of the dollar discrepancy.
