The "real" 007 would have proper research. Continental SportsContact 6 just won the prestigious German Autobild 2017 Sports Car Summer Tire Review, after defeating the MPSS in the 2016 test. 2nd year in a row. Last edited by Kabrich; 04-04-2017 at 08:55 PM.. |

After having them for a couple weeks now, this is exactly it. They do feel "floaty" at higher speeds compared the the PSS. The steering response was much more active on the PSS than the new conti. I still like the contis for their low noise and wet traction which is far greater than PSS, but I prefer the steering response the PSS (I would assume the new 4S) offers. Great tire but I will be going back to the 4S once these wear out. |

I know they aren't the exact tires being compared, but I love our Conti DW's on the X5 and when my Bridgestone RE-11's wear out on the 3 series, I'll be going Conti. Both staggered setups. I found road noise on the RE-11 is just a bit loud for me,

Tires are the only non-edible thing the French can manufacture better than anyone else, let's not take that away from them.

I dunno...to me there is just something about that nice Michelin PSS logo on the tire every time I look at my M Coupe....I'm sure this is a fantastic tire though

I only have about 150 mikes on my MPS4S's.. so not really broken in yet. We did have some nice storms roll through 2 nights ago and yesterday morning. I can absolutely feel a difference, for the better then my MPSS.

Any link? I can only find a test of 2017 summer tires from Autobild in the 225/50/17 size.

My E93 M3 came with Conti tires and they were loud the mileage tread wear is not that bad, made the switch to Bridgestone S04(second set) and cost is reasonable. Michelin 4S is next on agenda.

The 5Ps are the better of the two tires when it comes to performance. I had both. The 5Ps were the equivalent to the PSS.

Let's discuss engine break-in theory: by-the-book vs. redline-the-sucker.
