Your insurance companies don't automatically send your nearly brand new cars for repairs at their respective dealership?

Not that it means that their work is ever 100% perfect, but at the very least it's at an authorised dealership (or an authorised service centre that's under BMW)...

No, State Farm didn't want me to go there. Their "approved partners," or in-network partners are the BS chain type locations. Had to fight to replace rather than reuse the shadow line belt trim pieces that get warped and destroyed on removal. I went with the only dealer-affiliated, BMW Certified place around. Found them via the BMW site. My detail/ceramic guy told me bs like this was likey to happen as even the best body shops are terrible at finishing work. I see it as they likely just can't get good labor and there is no pride in the work, just get it out the door attitude.

Yeah, felt bad for those poor machines. Like being in prison or something.

Honestly a lot of insurance companies are just straight cost cutting at this point. They don’t give two craps about things now a days only they are losing money.

Too late now, but if you can / could get it to the Bay Area, Autobahn in Mountain View is State Farm approved and fan-fucking-tastic.

I've had resprays done there of tricky Individual paint like Moonstone and it fooled multiple supercar detailers. I bet one guy he couldn't find the blend and after 30 minutes with a loop he gave up.

I didn't realize they were better than normal but after some stories I've heard lately, I'll drive (or tow) across states to have them do the work if I need it.

My dealer is giving me GTS coupe allocation for one of the last 992.1s. Originally i was going to wait for .2 but not into hybrid setup.

The price on these things really went up from when i originally put a deposit. My build is about $175k. The dealer is basically giving me a little more than half that for my 991.2 T trade. It’s a large premium to upgrade.

Debating if i should spec a custom 911 or hold off to find the right CPO 992GT3 or 991 GT3RS.

From my perspective, the prices keeps going up and down and they may stay up in major cities just because of the rumored hybrid coming.

Don’t let Rennlist people scare you into paying a bit more if that means you will for sure get the car. A lot of those whiners there won’t get the car, they just like to bitch just to bitch. Much like a user with the username that starts with M and hovers in the 718 section, he keeps going on about how much Porsche will make for the RS cars and goes silent when numbers say otherwise and at the same time he doesn’t seem to have any cars on order.

CPO will probably be doable because there are quite a lot of 992 GT3s around. It would then depend how anal you are about the specs of the car. I personally just have issues with CPO unless I know the owner personally.

I also got this :P

Yeah, there's a lot of truth in that. The loudest boos often come from the cheapest seats. And I think I know who you're referring to. If you're going to call someone out, call them out. What are they going to do about it? Get butthurt and hurl insults from behind the safety of their keyboard? They already do that so it will be more of the same.

You mean Manifold?

I was trying to be a gentleman about it but eh. That guy attitude rubs me the wrong way. A user posted the numbered of VINs registered for US for the 718 GT4 and Spyder. I had expected more but for close to 5 years of production, a little over 3k for US is not a lot of cars.

R N M There is one thing I should point out. Considering what happened with a few other owners here I would try to think really hard on this decision. If your heart is set on the GT3, then pay up go for the 992 GT3. As Minn found out, a 911 GTS is a very good car but it isn’t a GT product and the differences are noticeable. If this is a big decision and you feel you may not be satisfied with the GTS, then try to aim for the GT3 instead. If your wondering how streetable the 992 GT3 is, you won’t have issues. The car is more sorted for the road compared to the 991 version due to the suspension change. I’m still not big on the size but that’s a personal opinion. If you have a good relationship with your dealer and they don’t play games with you, you can always talk to them to gauge what they think and go from there.

Saw another one

Gawddammit Sedan_Clan, I saw ANOTHER one today!

They're stacking up:
* 1 at the U of O in 2022
* 1 in Vienna in 2022
* And now 2 in zurich in 2 weeks!

Anyway, I'm now honorbound to report this to you

I have to admit, this is my least hated new BMW design (besides the front end) of the heinous BMWs (XM, G8x, 7er, etc). it's almost ok!

And, for those right now, some eye wash:

And some old school badassery:

And for anyone interested in the auto industry, Cadillac is really going for it here in the EU; this is probably the nicest boutique I've been in and the service was stellar including Americans who spoke fluent German, French, Italian. Pretty interesting to see ... don't know if it'll work though.

You make good points and that’s what i fear that GTS will not be special enough and i will still want GT3.

I have been on GT3 waitlist for Years with my dealer - they offered me allocation earlier this year but with $50k ADM, i passed and they went to next guy on the list. They did offer me T allocation for MSRP and now GTS also at MSRP.

I’m sure GTS is amazing but not sure if it’s worth to pay double than what my 991.2 T is currently worth. For GT3, i’m ok paying a lot bec that car will be a keeper especially everything going EV/hybrid. I’m looking at a few 991.1 GT3RS which is really what i want if i can’t get a buildable slot for 992 GT3. Also need to figure out if i should get rid of my F80 M3…too many cars.

That B5 RS4 is awesome.

Does anyone know if that generation RS4 had as many issues as the B5 S4?
