Macht Schnell Springs vs EMD Springs

Can someone in here chime in on which is the better spring? In terms of height and ride quality.. I can't decide which one to go with since I hear good things about the both.

Thanks in advance!

I have not tried MS but EMD is pretty damn amazing. Rides very close to stock in comfort and car feels well planted in tight turns. The drop was a bit aggressive on 20" rims, but I get nothing but compliments. Everyone thinks I'm on coilovers.

Can't speak for MS springs either but I have nothing to say but positive things about my EMD springs. Got them on SSR with spacers included for less than $400 if I remember correctly

+1 for emd. I love the drop/look and the ride quality is surprisingly great for such an aggressive drop. Just gotta be careful if u have a lip.

Went with 12mm square and I'm pretty pleased. The roads are decent around here but I haven't had any rocker panel/rear quarter panel damage from debris either

CORRECTION. They're 15mm square.

Here's the link to the kit I got

Love my EMD's perfect stance IMO. However, they are starting to feel a tad too low as a daily driver maneuvering around shitty roads. Meh, will buy a second car soon.

I'm still on stock ride height and stock wheels and tires… For those of you that have done the drop on springs, what other mods did you have accompanying it? Was it just the springs? Can I just get the springs and swap out the OEM ones and be done with it?

Yes, that's pretty much all you need. I have a pair of brand new EMD springs unopened that I might consider selling. If you're interested..

After you do the springs, you need to drive it for a couple of weeks minimum, 1 month preferred. After that you need to get alignment done. Make sure to find a good shop that uses the latest Hawk Eye Hunter machine!

If you going to do spacers, put them on before you go for alignment as spacer effect a bit of camber.

EMD all the way, you might rub or scrape on severe inclines however

OP: You'd be hard pressed to actually find someone that's installed one set, uninstalled and tried the other and chime in with a review. Most will just chime in the brand they're currently running.

We've installed tons of Macht Schnell springs, there are lots of M3/M4s out there. I'm sure there's a lot of happy EMD guys out there too.

You're right. What feedback have you received from clients who installed MS Springs?

Everyone's been super happy, it's pretty much the only spring we install on F8x.
