Why are you on this forum if you don't like the F80 platform? Get an MPE and wider tires and stop complaining or no one really cares about your shallow opinions.

I understand your incomprehension; you obviously do not understand the purpose of my intervention. Your answer explains why people do not come to this kind of website to get relevant ... objective information. I am a fan of BMW; but I deplore the current tengente followed by the brand.

My M4 lease ends in March 2018 and the car won’t really be replaced. I‘ll enjoy driving my F-Type more. Next year the F-Type will be replaced by an F-Type SVR.

Is the F Type V6 S worth buying? Comparing that or a 981 CS for around low-mid 60s here in Canada. Crazy prices I know but that's Canada for you.

@tcharged: I hear you. Nothing else in good old Germany. My SVR will be nearly 200k aka 157k € fully equipped .

I think the V6 is worth the money if you want to buy a car that touches your heart. Not close in perfection to a Cayman but thousand times more exiting.

I would love an SVR but I just bought an expensive house and I'm already doing renos haha. Wife will only let me buy a cheap depreciating asset 😆

if you like cars; you like motors ... and you like the sound of mechanics. In 2018, it's not about knowing which car is the fastest; we always end up being overwhelmed. What's left is sound, soul and style.

I was 13 when I painted the wall of my room in white to write a big M5 and M3. At the time, the BMW Ms were icons. I had 3 BMW M and the last was a revelation. The revelation that all the brands in the world can not survive the "mediocrity" for the sole purpose of selling more. The M's are excellent cars, desperate to drive. I am sorry; Actually.

Deal went down the end of last week. New car shows up first part of the coming week. I really liked the M3, but I won’t miss it with a 991.2 TT-S in its place.

The V6 also does the job . Clearly it isn‘t as fast. But the V6 sounds awesome and there aren‘t so many differences in the „look department“.

Rented an SVR Convertible for a week while on vacation in Miami a few weeks ago. Now searching for a perfect low mileage R or SVR Convertible to go along with my Quadrifoglio. They truly bring much more joy to me than my F80 M3 ever did. They are just such soulful rides.

The F-Type is a great looking car, and sounds badass as well.

Too bad the V8 can only be had with an auto in the U.S. (don't know about other parts of the world).

There is nothing I would trade the M3 in for at the moment that wouldn't be significantly more expensive.

Edit: just realized this is an if you sold your F8X, not if you were to sell your F8X thread.

Oh, I understand.

Maybe you forgot the F80 platform has a better chassis and handles better than the E90. It's also a better engine in every measurable way.

What if you like the way the F80 sounds with a MPE or Akra exhaust?

Your entire argument is a subjective mess at that point because if you connect with the F80, and think it sounds good, then what are you left with when talking about an F80 compared to an E90?

Should I go on E90 forums and talk about how dated it looks and how slow it is?

I would never do that because I appreciate it for what it is. It's not for me, but it doesn't mean its bad or I feel the need to bash it.

tengente??

I get this a thread about replacing an M3 but sometimes it just sounds silly

Cool man! I know you do not know what you're talking about; without resentment my friend. I'm a fan of BMW, but I only see that when you stop moving ... you back; and that's what happens at M (and at BMW in general). The performance may be up, but the soul is evacuated and that's what is sad. By passing tangent means, direction, orientation ... As the saying goes: competition improves race; this can only benefit BMW
