Many possibilities, sometimes you fall in the good graces and sometimes not. And perhaps how you talk to them matters as well, I know it does with BMW.

Update: Got the 991.1 GTS down to the track for a quick morning test and tune and it was amazing. I was 1-2 seconds faster in it than my old M4, IN THE RAIN, 100% stock! LOL! I left the Porsche TC system on and its fucking cheating, lol! Here's the two videos in both cars for comparison:
991.1 with TC on. Its lets you slide, just saves you from getting too out of shape: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=tYEs6aQcQl8 M4 with pads and tires, all DSC off:

Much to the chagrin of others on here, I have commented in the past about how poor the BMW electronics/TC are compared to those on the 911. The 991.1 GTS is such a well balanced joy to drive. The wider stance in the front and the chassis set up did a wonderful job eliminating understeer. |

Loved the videos. Music though...cars make decent music on their own on a track. Was it captured that way in-car or dubbed afterwards?

Videos make it look like you are having some fun
The 911 certainly looks a bit more cosy in the cabin. What tyres are you running now vs in the M4 ? Have you changed those tail-lights yet? |

Porsche is 100% stock including the Pirelli Pzero summer tire. 220 tread wear rating. I had R888R's on the M4 in that video. I haven't switched those tail lights yet. I found out you can buy the red GT3 RS ones which aren't as bright red as the Carrera ones so I'll probably put those in. At $900 for the pair, I might need to wait a bit, lol! The one other kind of gawdy thing on this Porsche I'm not sure I'm a fan of are the factory orange vents in the cabin. (Cover you children's eyes):

Update:
I'm getting the Porsche ready for NASA TT and anticipated being able to get it into TT3 (roughly 10/1 weight to power ratio), especially with me being such a large heavy beast of a man. Dyno was done on Thursday at a place I usually go to for my race car and is known to be pretty accurate. The Porsche GTS put down bigger numbers (about 10-20hp) than I expected and was still building power all the way up to redline (max hp was AT redline)? All this in 108 degree heat!? 386 rwhp The torque curve is as flat as Kansas and a road course racer's dream. Consistent 250-280 ft/lb. from 2500 rpm all the way up to 7600 rpm redline. If you're not sure what I mean, basically it just means that this type of power is very easy to throttle modulate on track. No uneven rushes of torque at any particular rpm range. The BMW GTS3 guys were detuning their S54 motors to have such a flat torque curve like this, it forced NASA to change the rule book to counteract their efforts. After it was all said and done. The car weighs about 3240 with a half tank of full. I was having problems with my scales at home reading too low, so I went over to track buddies today and got an accurate weight (his scales were just calibrated). If you're wondering how we get to that 10/1 number. Firstly, I weigh 300 lbs and then they take an "average max hp reading" so the top 7 readings spaced 250 rpm apart. Plus a bit of adjustment for higher than usual car weight, etc.

Too early to tell yet. West track is kind of a throw away since the surface has gotten so bad past couple of years. I don't read too much into comparing times there.
I'll be at East track in 4 weeks with the GTS and I have a lot of recent E36 race data there. Was running consistent mid/upper 1:03's on Nittos in my last couple of races there. Best lap there ever in my M4 was 1:04.9. I hope to be in the low 1:03's with the GTS, but some of that will depend on what tire I run. I'm not sure if I can make TT3 with the Hoosier penalty.

Not just Porsche either, also behind the lowly US domestic brands of GM and Ford. Also in overall suspension tech/tuning.

The track video in this thread speaks for itself IMO in comparison with other makes I’ve driven. The TC is programmed to kill everything even in MDM mode in my experience. I don’t like driving with all of the nannies off, which BMW nearly forces you to do (especially if you have DCT) to have any fun. |

Congrats on the new car. You gave me a ride in your M4 at east years ago and I am now hooked. Have done 2 Day and Advanced M School and have been doing HPDE with NASA in my M2 this year. Hope to run into you again. Not sure my wife is a fan though :-)

My wife is experiencing some health issues (cancer) so I am out of commission until October (she should be good by then, fingers crossed). I will be doing the NASA event both days in October at AMP. I will be looking to do some days with Proauto also now that I have the fever.

First TT with NASA this Saturday morning coming up. Getting my GoPro mic setup. Man this thing is loud! I put the sharkwerks side muffler delete race exhaust on. You wouldn't want to daily it like this, but its great for my purposes.
