Direct fit on steel brake discs on m4? What about pads, on 6 pot calipers are made for ceramic disc

Yes they're direct fit, BMW produces brake pads for steel discs as well.

But oem m4 steel discs have 380mm front and 370mm rear

He used the CCB Calipers and changed the discs to 400mm and 380mm, steel, from the M2C, iirc. Worthy upgrade. I'd like to do the same.

^This, plus you will need the rear dust shields from an M2C or CC setup. The front shield is identical to ours but the rear is much smaller and requires you to either pull the wheel bearing or modify the rear shields (cut a small part off).
