GC Camber plates and MPHAS added. Also went with 5mm rear and 15mm front spacers. Rear rubbed with anything but 5mm since I have 295 tires. My front 275's slightly rub the liner at full lock so I will be trying my spare set of 12mm next. Drop is moderate and the ride is still very good without being too harsh, which is why I went with the MPHAS. GC Camber Plates are at -2.5 right now and I'll be testing on the track after I get an alignment.

Cat back.

The MPE comes in two sections, the mid section replaces the stock mid resonator with an H-pipe.
MPE requires cutting your stock exhaust as well.
Why didn't BMW make it a full Bolt on?
Seems strange to cut the factory parts to install BMW MPE.

It's more cost effective to cut and replace your stock than to remake sections to pass emission.

Looks awesome , and photographic skills

How are you liking the MP-HAS/GC-plates setup?

I still continue to believe the CS should have come stock with the MP-HAS from the factory to truly fulfill it's "track optimized" mantra . But hey, easy enough to get it installed after the fact by the dealer and retain full warranty.

Thanks!

Good so far, but I have't driven it much yet. I have an autocross this saturday, then getting an alignment and corner balance right after. I know, it's backwards, but I figured it would be a good way to tell them what the car is doing.

As much as I wanted to keep the warranty intact, I opted to get my kit at EAS since they discounted it and I wanted to install the camber plates at the same time. I figured the camber plates would potentially void the entire suspension warranty anyway. I totally agree, these should have come standard on the CS.

Hey man, I'm just curious what the Benicia of camber plates are for street use. Dope ride
It provides a little more cornering grip for both front and rear tires. Allows for better changing of directions and makes the car more nimble. It also evens out front tire wear for track use. The F8X loves to eat front corners on factory camber. I ate though a set of tires in 2-3 track days. At $1400 a pop for tires, the $600 plates pay for themselves.

The trade-offs are a little more tramlining which isn't unbearable for street driving, but you have to be a little more aware and adaptive to uneven roads, bumps, surface conditions etc. the more negative camber, the more your car can veer and cause problems if you are unaware. Just gotta be more alert and make more adjustments. For street driving you also might see a bit of uneven inner corner wear if you rack up the miles.

I don't see much performance gains for street driving since you won't be going trying to take every corner at the limit. That being said, some people dial in camber for aesthetic "stance" purposes to tuck their wheels under the fenders to get as low as possible. That's not why I have it, however, as that makes the car drive like garbage.

Yea I don't want to tuck and I don't track. I'm conservatively lowering on MP HAS but want to make sure I do it right. Can I ask how much you lowered the front and rear? I was thinking the minimum 5-7mm rear and maybe 10-12mm front.

I didn't measure but I did have the car corner balanced with me in it at a local shop that does track prep. I went as low as I could without rubbing and with neutral rake for optimal balance under braking, cornering, and accelerating. If your lowering and getting an alignment, I would get a corner balance as well. They will raise and lower the car to your liking and balance it out. Cost was around $320 for the alignment and corner balance with height adjustment. Even if you were not tracking I recommend corner balancing, which is much better than eyeballing that most shops do.

FYI the ride bight in the photos was done by the install shop and has an even fender gap all around for aesthetic purposes and to clear my plus sized rear tire width. This looks even from the fender gaps but it actually has forward take, which makes the rear a little unstable in hard braking. When your entering a 65mph turn from a 140mph straight, that forward rake isn't ideal. After I dialed in more camber all around I was able to lower overall slightly and lower the rear more to produce an even rake front to back. That means that the rear fender gap is now slightly narrower that the front. Some people don't like this for the street since it looks like the front is higher, so most people tend to make the gap even. Since your not braking on the street like you are on the track, you won't need to have even front to back rake.

Got it, thanks. I don't prefer the raked look. I'm going to try and maintain the balance of stock just lower. I'm sure the front will have to come down a bit more but I'm not looking to sit on the front tires.
