This is why I never drive my car to anywhere in LA. Only orange county for my M3. I would rather pay the $15 for uber than drive my car anywhere within a 15 miles radius of downtown LA.

Call your insurance man it should be covered under comprehensive so they can take care of the scratches too. Expect to miss your car for about 40 days.

My F80 has motion sensors inside the cabin. I usually park my car in my garage w/ the doors locked and the windows down and sometimes it's so sensitive that I'll walk by my car and it'll go off or simply by tossing my wallet/garage opener onto the front seat.

I don't disagree at all when the thread is on a particular topic, but this thread was about an incident that is long passed and people are still saying "Sorry about your problem OP, hope you get it fixed."

Totally agree, yeah. If I had gotten to the thread a bit sooner, I'd have canceled the needless bump, and saved those folks their time.

Lol, it's because most people are impatient and never take the time to actually read through the details of threads completely before they hastily concoct a response. "Hope you get it fixed OP!" for something that happened 14 months ago is a perfect example of that. Most people just read what's come up in their most recent feed and just hit "reply".

Even though I tend to painstakingly read through every single page of threads (the LED threads come to mind....30+ pages) i've made the mistake of joining and reading a thread way late, and respond to something said on page 1 or 2 before I actually got to page 30....which is dumb on my part, because whatever I said was probably stated 20 times already by that time Now I make sure to read all posts before commenting. You live and you learn...

Btw, there are some forums (not necessarily car related ones) that lock any bumped thread that is over 6 months old and "necro'd", even if it may be a valid bump. They just don't want old threads brought back to life, they'd rather a poster find the answer to their question from those old posts, and if the answer isn't available in them, start a new thread. Forum moderation can be a matter of perspective, and highly dependent on the type of forum, I suppose.

(and here I am adding to the bump of a necro thread....lol)

I have the solution OP:

I know a guy who can install a flux capacitor in your ride. Hit 88 mph then go back in time and stop your year old self from parking the car where you did.

No broken window and no OP. This thread ends as does its zombie revival.

.....of course, if you go back in time you might see old you and the consequences of that on the space time continuum opinion this current reality could be catastrophic.

Great Scott!
