Mine seems to have gotten worse lately....to the point where you have to constantly adjust the steering in order to stay in your lane.
Oo wow. Yeah there may be more to that then. That being said, the first thing we did on my wife's F80 was the GTS coding for the Steering after finding the car wandering and having a dead spot when we were in Europe for ED. Since then the car has been solid. Then, when I purchased my F80 ZCP and drove it on the highway home I thought I had bought a lemon. It felt impossible to keep it straight or in a lane. But it was because I was used to the GTS steering. Coded my car 5 days later and have no issues anymore. Car no longer wanders and doesn't have that dead spot on those same roads.

My point being that, while non-GTS does have some wandering that was fixed by the coding (at least for me), it shouldn't wander to the point that it becomes almost undriveable on a longer journey.

My recommendation, pony up the $100 or so and get the coding done. Then see how you feel. If it is still just as bad, ask the dealer to take a look.
Where do you guys get this coding done? I've heard it mentioned along with the transmission coding but never a word about where they get it done at?

Can you elaborate on these dead spots? My car has this weird feeling where the steering almost binds up or you have to add a little more force than usual to point it where you want. I've taken it to multiple dealers and they all pretty much told me there is no issue they can find. I've purchased the GTS tune but haven't had it coded.

Any thoughts? Thanks.
