How much is a 2015 F80 M3 92k miles worth?

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I have a guy willing to sell me a 2015 F80 M3 with 92k miles for 26k. Clean title and ceramic brakes. He drives 3k a month which worries me. White in red and 6spd. Should I pull the trigger?

Those ceramic brakes are gonna cost a pretty penny to replace. I would check replacement costs in your area.

Here's Manheim. He's pretty close.

Go into it knowing its one of the most high mileage examples out there and will be brutally hard to sell if you ever do.

Also... if the ceramics are done... pass.

He said they are still filled with life but definitely understand what you mean. Thank you!

Yeah so 24k is the price? I was going to buy and drive for a year and sell it for a little more. I'm selling my E92 M3 and I would only have to add so little to get his. It's in great condition and well maintained. Would you pass? Hasn't had a need to do the crank hub either

What if he lied and brakes need to be replaced?
Happening all the time.
Have you done PPI?

https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-2...3-f82-m4-pair/

Here is link to Turner for the replacement rotors. 8k is the cost for just the front rotors. That is 1/3 of the price of the car. I would get a PPI and get a true opinion from a mechanic/bmw to tell me truly how much life is left. The other option would be to just swap to stock non Carbon rotors and do a full conversion. I have had hard passes on any car that had these, and with those miles you may need to change at some point.

Honestly, I would look for a deal on a low mileage car for another 8k in price

Yeah that's true. I will have it PPid but if I want to sell would it be very hard to? Should I pass because 26k cash is still cash

Yeah thank you so much for the info! Really appreciate it! Especially since he has driven the car almost 60k miles in three years! Thank you bro! If you find any M3s that would be around 30-35k let me know! 🤞🏻

Yeah I saw it! Great price but prefer a different color such as alpine white. Never been into the darker color cars as it doesn't show the body lines well

Highway driving maybe? If so, brakes could be in decent shape. I sold a VW GTI with ~60k miles and the shop was amazed by how much life were on them. I literally braked on exit ramps or for abnormal traffic only.

Buying one of these cars with high mileage is a big gamble - for 25k you can get an excellent M-Sport 340i. Its not an M3 but they're very good cars for the money. Heck, my 2014 M-Sport 335i has only 42k miles and its probably a 16-17k car max in the current market.

Did it also have carbon ceramics? Really appreciate your insight!

If I sell mine for 23k I only add 3k and get the F80. Heard they are reliable and I'm coming from a F80 M3

It's not a bad deal, you can always ditch the ceramics , used M3/m4 steel brakes don't go for a lot and I'm pretty sure you can recoup that cost selling the ceramic brakes/rotors even if worn.
