Just got off the phone with Michelin Corporate in Spartanburg SC, forget it for now they have completely stopped production and will not provide anytime soon they will be available to the general public, period. Even a couple equal Michelin alternatives for f8x cars also stopped production. Can only assume new vehicle's are getting all produced at this point. I've prepaid my order with tirerack.com surprised I got answer from Michelin but they haven't.

You're in CA, go with one of the extreme performance tires and don't look back. You will have a new car.

Or, if you can hold out until late Sept., I'll sell you mine. I am swapping mine for extreme performance tires right after delivery.

For a change was trying to stay with original equipment, actually since I don't put this car on a track going back to Kuhmos that I had 3 sets of on e60 m5, speed rating, temp, tread depth, as high as it gets. Never had a tire wear this good as with the Kuhmos not to mention half price of pilots. 3 sets never had a puncture either. Many guys love their brand, sticky, etc but the Kuhmos were as smooth going down road as any tires I'd ever driven on, especially shitty runflats those suck with any brand!

Similar situation happened with the M5/M6 guys trying to get 305/25/21 a few months back. Michelin had no ETA or any news but they will be receiving those tires soon.

Ya what are they thinking, get em in, then let um go, weird Corporate strategy to say the least, if BMW KNEW that Michelin wasn't servicing repeat customers after just the first pair, maybe that would weigh on being Factory Tire in the first place.
