I'm looking for 20" to replace the factory 20".
So 9" and 10" widths.

I had EC-7 on my E90 then went to SM-10.

I'm on it. I will use your photo to justify the purchase of these 2 cars to our accounting department so that they are always available to us.

Legends from a bygone era. Beautiful, but I'm biased.

Will a 305, or a 315 tire fit that rear 20x11 +44 on a F80 without rubbing?

You would need to downsize the sidewall of the rear tire to a 305/25-20 to reduce your chances of rubbing, but one downside of this option is the limited tire availability in this size when paired with a 265/30-20 front. You can get the PS4S in this size, but it’s rarely in stock. A 315 would likely rub and is even less available.

damn, i thought these would fit 305/30/20. swear i've seen other wheels with the exact same size/offsets (e.g. Titan 7 TS-5) fit them fine without rubbing. i've even had one wheel manufacturer confirm 20x11 et44 would be no problem with 305/30/20.

since 305/30/19 clear, where's the contact point with 305/30/20?

A 305/30/20 will fit....... but.... might rub a little on full compression. It's not just the width of the tire, it's the total diameter. If you don't mind a tiny bit of rub on full compression on the inside fender liner, then you'll be okay. ET44 should be okay, but the more aggressive the offset, the more problems you're gonna have.

BTW, the tread-width and contact patch of the 305/25/20 PS4S is WAY smaller than the 295/30/20 PS4S. The 305/25/20 is a super stretched tire.

Exactly, you can likely fit this setup in the rear, but it's not comparable to the 19" 305/30-19 setup in terms of overall diameter. The 20" wheel with a 305/30-20 is going to be ~3.6% taller than the 19" setup which takes up more room in the rear wheelwell. Normal single-occupant street driving with narrower street compounds might not rub at all, but I'd expect rubbing with a heavily loaded car or wider tires, especially over bumps. I dislike recommending setups that have the potential to rub though hence my initial reply.

Given that 20" fitments are going to be more street-oriented, we recommend the 295/30-20 which is still taller but slightly narrower which will help alleviate potential rubbing.

Great photo shoot, thanks for posting!

I think I'd have to go 19s with 305s if I were to do it. Just too cool to be able to say you have 305s....
