NBTEvo ID6 -- native navigation vs. CarPlay

I may be committing heresy by saying this, but I prefer the native BMW navigation over CarPlay. Thoughts?

No technical question. I was just wondering if anyone else prefers the native ID6 BMW navigation to Apple CarPlay.

The native navigation is much better since it integrates with the HUD.

I prefer BMW Nav over Carplay. I like being able to spin the knob and zoom in and out of the map. Carplay does not do the same.

Plus, when CarPlay is guiding you to a destination it uses a very zoomed in view that you cannot change permanently. If you zoom out it will after a few seconds. go back to the hyper zoomed in view.

I prefer BMW Nav's integration with the HUD.
Everything else about BMW Nav is vastly inferior:
  1. Atrocious input mode and overall UX experience
  2. Shitty graphics on the OEM screen
  3. Lousy navigation routing algo that no longer has access to OTA traffic updates (BMW was backwards and cheap and was still shipping cars with 3G in mid-10s. Yo'all know what happened to 3G service in North America lately).
  4. No Waze, thus no revenue collection location alerts.
  5. No integration with your calendar, appointments, locations, or destinations.
