Any clearbra? All stock?

You have plenty of space if I recall - she's a beaut - why not keep her

Best of luck either way.
Clear bra on front and fenders, ceramic coating, and bmw HAS. We do have space but have a few cars en route and it's time to not keep everything the m4gts and m2cs will stick around so thinking we may sell this guy.
Any one looking for a mint 1 of 92 LRG in North America?

Clear bra seals the deal imo when paying up for a low mileage car.

BTW interesting in that I've seen the M2CS set more than one super cherry F80 free onto the market.

I haven’t seen a CS move on CarGurus or Cars.com for over $80k yet regardless of miles. That’s the current market and I don’t see it changing.

That's fair. $80k is a big nut for an F80.

As an owner of a low mileage CS I'd still hold out for top dollar if in no rush to sell. In 2022 the bubble may pop OR further inflation could mean $80k is the new $70k for a CS.

From what I can tell, even CS w/ CCB's aren't trading there.

That's why I'm keeping mine w/ just under 17k miles.

It's all bunched up really between $60 and $75k - a clean Yas blue 18 6MT ZCP, steel brakes , cloth seats with 25k miles just cleared $67k plus dealer fees here in CLT. That's a nice car but it's not a CS with CCBs; how could an individual paint CS with only 5k miles not be worth another $12 to $15k? Maybe $80k is like a redline or something. For a while the GTS could barley bring $80k.

Added data point - There was a CS listed for $95k here that sold in a few days with some expensive wheels.

Well, my sticker was $111,625 and BMW won't offer me more than $68k on a trade. I've had trade offers from Jaguar, MB, Porsche and even Alfa between 74-81.

None of it makes sense.

If someone wants to buy and hold a CS as a hardly ever driven garage queen, this might be the only opportunity left? How many CS' are there out there with less than 400 miles? $92,000 in Jan 2019 is $102,758 in today's dollars (just using the BLS CPI calculator), so going the other way $92k today calculates out to $82,367 in Jan 2019. $ purchasing power is being destroyed with inflation rates at 40+ year highs.

So in net, how many would have bought a 400 mile CS for $82k back in Jan 2019?

[see if I work numbers long enough I can convince myself of almost any purchase]

I would submit it to BaT long before taking $68k on a trade-in. We're not quite there yet, but the CS is likely going to be much more appreciated in the future imo. A low mileage garage queen type car will be extremely hard to find since so many of these were flushed out on far too-good-to-be-true leases and treated like rental cars it seems.

Pick 1843. 1842 had a front end wreck and Trueframe inspection report says the hood was replaced, bumper cover and fender refinished, etc.

As an aside, that dealer in OH with the 388 mile CS for sale has some interesting cars, but one that stood out as a potential excellent deal at its spec and price point is this 2018 M4 ZCP 6MT and CCBs with 16k miles priced at $62k (no idea what fees this dealer slaps onto that though). This might be the lowest priced 16k mile 2018 M4 ZCP with 6MT out there (with CCBs having no additional used car market value, so if one wants those, it's a heck of a deal).

Its a stripper in the ugliest color ever. No exec package and carbon structure with CCBs but being an M4 and the worst color are why its priced that way. Seems the dealer knows exactly what they have lol.

I think the answer to your question is transmission. DCT does not command the same price as a manual.

Btw, that CS didn't sell with the wheels and the buyer is willing to disclose the sell price so hopefully we'll find out what it sold for soon.

Spot on, thanks. I never pay attention to M4 pricing having always looked at M3s, and after some further searching, there are plenty of ~15k miles or less 2018 M4s out there with pricing in this area.

Yeah M3s have always been (and will most likely continue to be) valued more than M4s based solely on the fact that they stopped production in 2018 vs M4s which went to 2020.

I almost bought the last new CS with 20 miles for $83k back in Dec 2019 with 4 years of warranty. Cars are depreciating assets so trying to apply CPI to used cars is a stretch. The used car bubble is due to the supply chain struggles impacting new car production and not inflation.

I came across a CS w/ 9k miles, $102k msrp. They're asking $84k. 1 year warranty left. Sound a little high?

I’ll just chime in real quick and speak to anyone who is thinking about buying a CS - do your diligence. Do not just trust the seller whether it’s a forum member/private party or a dealer. On forum members, just because they’re on here doesn’t mean they are honest or are looking out for you in anyway. I’ve had 2 CSs and both have had cosmetic issues that require bumper respray - I’m just eating it on my current car, but it was bought from a forum member and the PPI (performed by a BMW dealer) failed to mention the biggest cosmetic issues. On that note, dealer PPIs are no guarantee that they’re doing a quality inspection - pay what it takes to have a reputable third party do a proper inspection.

I care about this community and do my best to look out for people on here - I don’t want to see people ending up with the same BS. And this isn’t a sympathy post in any way, it’s a reminder that only you are looking out for you regardless of who is on the other side of the deal.

I wasn't applying the CPI to used cars though as it applies to everything one tries to purchase with a dollar today versus the past. I was simply showing the buying power of the dollar today versus 2019. 2022 dollars are significantly deflated versus 2019 dollars...simple fact. Inflation is real of course and it simply means reduced purchasing power of a dollar. It has nothing to do with whether a car is depreciating or not.
