Week 24 25 26 Build Dates

It must be down to the laws of the country. Since here in Leb I received delivery and just said to bring it in when the new diff arrives. I believe in the USA the car is not allowed to be handed over to customer if there is a recall or work order on the car.

SInce laws here are not the same, and this recall has zero safety effects, therefore the car was handed it to me. My car now has 200 miles and no sound from diff for now. Will post some pics today

Got a call from my CA today. My updated date was Aug 15 but now I was told another month out.

Anyone from week 25/26 builds receive their car after the differential recall repair?

I got pushed back 3 times date wise so now I'm at 9/1

My car is a week 26 build originally scheduled for 7/26 and now we are nearly 5 weeks out.

Week 25, arriving port Hueneme this afternoon. I guess it would cue up after getting to VPC. Hope the ED cue is shorter. Would be sweet if catches my birthday.

Genius told me my car is scheduled to be delivered to the dealer by the 22nd but that seems unlikely considering what you guys are being told.

I initially got a 9/19 date for PCD, but they were able to get me bumped to 9/13.

Car supposedly is on the way to the dealer but rear differential hasn't been replaced yet..

Had my PCD on 8/25 (differential repaired a week prior). Will post pics soon. Incredible car and amazing fun on delivery day!

just gave the car in today for the 1200 mile service. Diff repair is still not available.

My car started production June 26th and finished July 4th but has been sitting in Germany because of the stop delivery. Was initially told it would start moving right away but now as of yesterday the car won't "finish" its final inspection until September 30th so it will sit for another full month in Germany for no good reason while cars much newer get built/delivered all around me. Then another 5 weeks minimum on the boat and transport to my dealer. Completely ridiculous that car with not a single individual option will take over 4 months to deliver to me. And it doesn't even get the diff fixed so I will have to bring it to the dealer and leave it there once the parts finally come in. Plus i get fucked out of CarPlay because it was such an early build. Pretty close to telling BMW to go fuck themselves.

Did you do ED? If not, why not look for another car?

No ED here but we have been looking for another car and nothing fits the bill that will get here any sooner. Many of the dealers have their early 2017's marked as "For Center Use" so that won't do any dealer swaps with them.

Just for giggles I called Genius just now and it seems the car has jumped status overnight and has been released from the factory to the port for the next boat out of Germany. Finally some good news but I am keeping my emotions in check until I know its actually on a boat.

I have a feeling there is a HUGE backlog of cars trying to leave Germany right now...there's a ship moored currently that is supposed to have left by now that still hasn't left.
