MY17 MW/SO in "finishing touches" stage
How long does it usually take when a car enters this stage? been a long wait ordered the car back in February

Tough to answer. Depends on where in the stage it is. If there was shipping damage. Where you are in relation to your dealership. I'd call Genius and get more detail.

When was your car built? Is it affected by the diff recall?
I've been sitting at the finishing touches stage since 7/10.

I don't think mine is affected I ordered back in Feb had to wait for an allocation so that took a while not exactly sure when the order went in but I'm assuming mine isn't affected because I don't think they would complete the build a buddy of mines is still in production and he ordered around the same time except he has a MY16

Just got an update the status has changed from "finishing touches" to "at your bmw dealer" so I'm thinking a few more days

The website is always behind. So when it said "finishing touches" chances are it was already at your dealership. Use the tracking guide sticky at the top of this forum to help track your cars. Never use the website, it's always out of date and not accurate.
