Picked up my M3 today

Hey guys, I'm new here. You know why? Because today I fulfilled a dream I've had since high school: owning a brand new M3 (a manual ZCP, no less!)

Last pic is my two girls together.

Looking forward to wasting far too much time on this forum!

Congrats man!

I dive into these forums at least once or twice a day, lol. Said I would mod my car slowly over time but these forums give me an unrelenting itch that needs to be satisfied. Haha. Enjoy dude.

Congrats! Looking great!

Mine arrives at the port on Sunday. Exact build as yours except I went with black 666.

Congrats on the new car! Is it just me, or is your driver's seat way too wrinkled already? My seat doesn't look like that even after 10k miles on the same Silverstone interior.

I would demand a new car.

Yes, congratulations! It sounds like three of us on this forum have each picked ip ZCP 6-speeds in the past week. One blue, one white, one black!

Great car. Enjoy it.

Thanks everyone!

I got my first big thumbs up from another driver today (in a well kept Fox body Mustang, no less) as well as a some teenagers begging me to rev it in the parking garage of the Garden State Plaza. I figured I'd be able to fly more under the radar in this than in my SS, but so far that's not the case haha, for better or worse.

My wife said the same thing. It bugs me a little bit, for sure, but I don't have to look at it while I'm sitting on it. All the more reason to sit on it as often as possible haha.

Oh, I do have one question: Straight off the boat with no one else having driven it, the parking brake seems "loose." It's fine when I really give it a good yank, but it feels like I'm going quite a bit higher than what seems reasonable to get a good catch. Is this a regular thing or do I need an adjustment? It's a bit of nitpick (and the only one), but I'm curious.

What are you comparing it to? Post photo of the parking brake handle when engaged. Make sure you take the pic from the side.

Will do when I get home later.

The reason I say it is because the first few "clicks" up do absolutely nothing. The last car I had with a physical parking brake was a 2013 Mustang GT and that thing would hold the car if you pulled it up even a little bit. It also had a good, linear increase in tightness the higher you brought it up. With the M3 it's nothing for a while and then it comes on all at once. It's probably just my ignorance/not being used to it.
