New Arrival: F80 M3

Placed the order about 8 weeks ago, she arrived on Friday. I had a 911, but had to sell because I couldn't fit the baby seat and the wife in at the same time. What better than an M3 to solve that problem????

Black Saphire Metallic
6 MT
Comp
Exec
Full black leather
Power rear shade (for the rear facing baby of course)
Moonroof

This car is perfect. Can't wait for break in period to end.

Murdered out is the new black - nice!

Where did all of the people go? Did they flee a zombie apocalypse?

Beautiful car. Sometimes I wish I would've gone with black. Enjoy it!

Congratulations!
I got the same setup except for DCT and CP, CP wasn't available at the time.

I m actually thinking to go to 911. I have 2 kids,4 and 1, and wife who is 5'5" do you think we will not fit? We do have a family SUV to fit us all on most trips but sometimes we drive in my F80 and have plenty of space. So 911 would be used rarely... most of the time I am going to be in there by myself or with both kids (day care, school, etc.) would this be crazy impossible for 911?

I used to say: Don't care about the color as long as it's black.
Had many black cars. Still love it. My current latitude makes owning a black ca a bit challenging.

Enjoy.

The rear facing seat for the 1 year old will be an issue. For your circumstances the m3 is a better fit until the kids are a bit older

If u have a SUV why worry, go for it . How many times will family be in the 911 anyways

In my F80 90% of the time I am alone

Every morning I drop them off at the daycare. I hope that once the little one grows out of the RFS, we would fit. It is also expected that the new generation 911 will be bigger, we shall see.

Will RFS fit if no passenger in the front?

Yes. My rear facing fit in the back of my 997. Even more room in the 991. In both cases however, the front seat was all the way forward and tilted into the dash.

Don't forget stroller, bags, etc. it was not practical.

For me, it would have turned into a garage queen, that occasionally I would take out alone. For me, that wasn't OK.

The 992 as I understand will follow similar dimensions as the 991 (same platform I think). Larger than the 997, no doubt, but by inches not feet. Take a car seat to a dealer and play around. That's what I did before moving on. You'll see what you're dealing with.

Good suggestion to test drive with family in... will do

For me neither, with kids I don't have time to drive "for fun". It is always for some family/work purpose....
