Lease Return Nearby PCD
I’m picking up a new car next month at the BMW Performance Center. Still debating whether to fly up or drive up. If we drive up it might be most convenient to take my current car and return it to a dealer nearby (contacting them in advance, of course). I know I can’t return it to the Performance Center. I understand Century BMW isn’t too far away. Anyone ever do what I’m thinking about - drive to pick up new car and return existing car to Century? Any reason to rule out doing that?
I was thinking about it and this is the first leased car I’ve ever actually returned. I have bought out or traded in but never actually got to the end of the lease and turned the car in. Guess I’ll watch those videos BMW keeps emailing me about.

I don't see why not. Be advised that not all dealerships can do lease-end inspection. They use third party inspector than can come to your home or workplace to inspect the car. Hope this helps.

We're going to spend a few days in Asheville after PCD before the ride home. We visit Asheville just about every year so PCD is pretty perfect location for us. But yeah it's a long ride home and I'm debating whether I really want to drive both ways and allocate time to dealing with an out of town lease return. Timing is such that I'll have 1 day to return before lease ends if I wait until I get back and, of course, I'll be wiped out that day from driving back the day before. I suppose the easiest thing would be to just return it before we leave to pick up the new one.

Noice. I've been thinking about a F83 next. I'm not crazy about the roofline with the top up, but it's growing on me (and the top will be down most of the time).

I agree. With top up coupe looks much better IMO, especially with CF roof. I had to get past that and just decided I wanted to try it out. It's a 3 year lease and I'm pretty sure I won't hate it so I can get through the lease term even if I wish I went with another coupe.
