I love the F83, but I don't want an M4, I like the sexy rear end of the F80 too much.

Also, ZCP doesn't come with an MPE.
He knows ZCP doesn't come with the MPE, the point he was trying to make is on the comp pack you do not need the MPE because the competition sport exhaust sounds like perfection, so money saved
It's possible he doesn't know.

Anyway that exhaust note is all in the tune, not the muffler. The burble can be flashed now without removing the DME and the KW sleeve kit will provide an aggressive look for the suspension.
I sure know the difference between the ZCP exhaust and MPE. I need to film my ZCP exhaust with the catless downpipes (attach a DJI osmo 4k camera with supplement mic to the rear), quite happy with the set up. Ask kechang as he heard the exhaust with catless dp when we both dropped off our ED vehicles at BLG Frankfurt.

How bout the suspension?

Thescout13 your very wise, as I have delevopled connections within BMW and know the product very well considering I have factory ordering 9 vehicles over the past 14 years. Living in SC, I also meet on occasion BMW Manufacturering employees. Take delivery of #9 in 2 weeks, and already thinking about 2020

I've heard ZCP with DP's and love it, but the only real difference is the burble, which I can add on.

I was considering the MPE, but I couldn't PIA for a ED vehicle. Tuner in Germany for a Stage II flash tune required the dp's. If your financing, then MPE is fine.

Just looking out for you with the ZCP option, as lots of people are 2nd guessing themselves on the forum for not getting the ZCP.

Personally, after 4 BMW convertibles I wanted to order a F82, but living in Coastal SC, Ibizaswife wanted to stay with a convertible (she enjoys the catcalls from men). My tune is overkill for a F83, probably the ZCP is too, as I'm not allowed to drive the F83 in BMW CCA sponsored events. That's why you work hard to spend it

As for your solution to the exhaust, that is true, however, not everyone wants to modify outside of their warranty (as a flash will do, DME or OBD). He was giving an option for those who do not want to. My bad for the mix up.

P.S. love your build choices! Congrats!
Its all good, and everyone is different, I personally don't see it as being worth it and realistically more than anything just do not want to deal with changing out my wheels. I really really really do not want 20's and don't want black wheels, if BMW would have let me ordered ZCP with silver 19's I would have considered it.

Also, thank you!
I thought you can get comp pack with the 19s, or is it only the black 19s? I am not hating by the way my wife has a 2018 non-comp M3 and loves it

Order guide shows either 2VY (19") or 2VZ (19" black 19") as a $1,200 option when ZCP is not ordered. (F82/F83 guide- assume same for F80).

Yeah, no I get that the wheels are a $1200 options, but if I am reading the F80 guide correctly it looks like, at least, you can order the black 19s with ZCP and it is literally listed as a "ZCP upgrade" but the silver 19s are not. Thus this is not helpful for OP. My B

I appreciate the looking out, but I won't be second guessing myself, already had one F80, didn't get it on that and don't regret it.

I am getting full leather this time around, as I really would have liked that, and I figure why not throw in drivers assistance for only 500 bucks, but ZCP is not something I'll care about or have remorse over.

Well, slight update thanks to Maria at BMWNA (Who is quite literally, the best).

The factory was supposedly hoping to get me in for PW11, but the paint has added some extra lead time due to the supplier, and I've now been moved up from my original estimate of PW18 to PW13.

The wait continues...

Ordering this car has been a long and slightly stressful road (my salesperson has been excellent throughout, don't get me wrong) but the order is finally in and I was finally able to see a VIR with the specs of my car all correct.

The Specs:

Individual Blue Hera Mica Metallic Exterior
Individual Cohiba Brown Interior
Executive Package
Drivers Assistance Package
6 Speed Manual
19" Silver Wheels
Black Kidney and Side Gills

I opt'd not to get Comp Package mainly because I A) don't want 20" wheels and don't want black wheels, and since BMW won't be reasonable and just let me have comp pack with a silver 19 instead of a black 19 they can lose out on getting the extra few thousand from me and B) really only want it for the exhaust burble. Overall, I decided its not worth it.

Timeline:

11/28 - Color Requested
12/6 - Wrong Color Approved - (Petrol Mica, Sorry buddy, wrong Mica, NOT my sales persons fault)
12/15 - Right Color Approved

12/21 - Status 102 - Special Order - Estimated PW18
02/09 - Status 102 - Special Order - Estimated PW13 (Moved up to last week of March)

and now... we wait.

I'll keep this thread updated as time goes on.

I'm hoping to have the car by Late April or May, but with all these crazy delays I've been hearing about we'll see when it actually comes.
Great color....had I not opted for Atlantis Metallic, I would have seriously considered this color...enjoy when it finally comes in

As of this Monday I am 112 (I think). Was told it is scheduled for daily production pack, and that I am now confirmed PW13.

Hopefully I'll have this thing by the end of April/Early May.

Car has finished production as of yesterday, Status 155. Let's hope it gets on one of the ships that is NY bound on the 9th or 10th of April, otherwise its going to have to wait until the 17th!

Thank you - this is quite helpful. I've had an estimated production week for my F90 First Edition of the 23rd week (June 4) which is 2 months from today. It surprised me that it is still in 102 status. But as your post suggests, your status didn't change until right before production began. I can now relax.... Congrats on your build - it's gorgeous.

Yup, its a total pain, but it seems to be the norm now.

Congrats on your order and the completed production!

Excellent choice not picking the Competition Pack. I wanted to order it at first ('M4 Competition' has a nice ring to it), but being too analytical about everything, I made a list of CP upgrades and poured much thought into each, 1 at a time. It quickly became apparent that the package was of almost no cumulative value to me. Its only upgrades I actually liked (and even based my exterior color on) were the black trim+badges, but I ordered those from forum sponsors in advance and installed them the morning after bringing the car home.

Now if it came with lowered suspension and wheels I liked, things would be quite different.

Congrats again and it looks like the car will be home soon, since you are on the East coast...you guys are so lucky with BMW deliveries. Post pics when it arrives!

Thank you!

Couldn't agree more on the comp pack, coming with MPerformance Sleeve Kit probably would have swayed me towards it as well, even though I really don't want 20's or black wheels.
