Great build—I've got a question about those bushings with the holes drilled in them. They appear to be eccentric—is there a reason for that, and how are they installed so they're symmetric between L & R?

++ for all the SPL stuff, and I'm quite jealous of that Drexler diff.

The control arm bushings are eccentric so you can adjust the pivot point for roll center correction.

Bloop. Forgot about roll center correction. But that's what I was curious about, if they're eccentric, how are they adjusted and then locked down? Looks like they're just measure twice, press-in once?

In addition to roll-center, it can be used for default camber setting. In my later pics, you will see I have them angled inward.

And yes, measure twice or more and do your best to make them symmetrical on both sides.

Congratulation for this project!!

Im thinking to change the oem diff for drexler diff but the point is i would need to re-code the car because drexler diff doesnt use an electrical engine...

Could you help me? Could you give me more information about that?

Thank you man!

Thanks to this thread, I also followed and got Fall-Line LCA’s with the rear sway bar links, and MMR’s for the front. Didn’t like the idea of the ends exposed; credit to Fall-Line and MMR for having boots on them.

Did your FL LCA’s come with a bracket to mount the headlight leveler? Mine was zip-tied up since ther wasn’t any way to link the leveler to the LCA.

It did not come with the mounting hole, I just tapped in a M5 hole for the bolt.

If you have time, I would greatly appreciate it if you posted a list of the items you removed for weight reduction. That weight is exceptional and the car has to feel like a rocket!

Do you have an email or other contact? I do not have IG.

Please can you share briefly why this is required when using the GT4 bumper.

Also, I cannot find the GT4 bumper in IND site, do you have a link or more info.

Many thanks

Happy to connect.

The GT4 bumper makes installing the GT4 splitter (plug and play). Otherwise you have to cut the OEM bumper quite a bit - however it is possible and few on the forum have gone this route.

IND has access to ordering bmw OEM and motorsports parts. They also have the ability paint parts before sending to you.

I called/emailed Ryan at IND directly and placed the ordered.

I found the Slon GT4 splitter which is significantly more expensive than the AP Motorsport GT4 splitter. From comparing the pictures it's far closer to the OEM GT4 splitter and likely stronger.

My question, have you had contact with the kerbs with your splitter? As this is one of the advertised benefits of the Slon splitter. Im trying to understand if the extra cost is worth it.

Thanks

Slon and the bimmerworld are great, and superior to the AP option. Unfortunately, neither was available when I ordered mine almost 3 years ago.

I have had it on my car 15 track days (plus maybe 2500 street miles when my car was streetable) and yes, it has a few scars to prove it…so far holding strong. Uses all OEM hardware, and fitment is great.

I do have the Bimmerworld one on order as a backup, will run this as long as it lasts…let’s see.

I just wanted to say thank you as you have inspired me to go all out and do a full garage renovation . I won't have the lift but will be making it look worthy of my car collection.
