I have had my e90 for almost 3 years, tuned up the ass and not a single issue yet with turbos, engine etc..

The main thing here is that it's going to be hard justifying an 80k M3 in many ways, and pray that it's not going to have many problems as the prior turbo cars. You can definitely see how BMW is struggling in the realibility part when it comes to the turbos and components. Good luck to the future owners!
People have paid that for the E9X.

No dude! You're missing the point. My point was that people overpaid.

I remember significant dealer markups back in '08 for the E9X.

I'm just hoping the military buyer program of an $8k price cut is that same as it was for the E9X.

Yes sure (that applies to all BMWs nowadays, look at what competition has to offer, hint Mustang, hint hint Z06), but they will continue to do so with this model as well.

So because there is more competition the prices of BMWs would be higher?

Don't you think logic would say the exact opposite?

Do you remember the $3-6k dealer markups back in '08?

I don't think he does because he still continues to respond with the same nonsense.

We are talking about the same thing.

BMWs are overpriced compared to what the competition has to offer. The cheap leather seats and fake carbon stitching is not worth the 2x price tag they charge for these cars. We still buy them because we like them. I pay for them myself and I will for the rest of my life. Still does not change the reality.

Yup! I have a feeling it'll be definitely close to 90K, seems hard to believe, but if you don't believe it, I guess you haven't been around BMW long enough to see that. Don't be shocked when you go to the local dealer that has one in stock and the price tag reads somewhere in the ball park of 90k, cause that's a high likely hood. The fact that they now have the competition ceramic break kit and LED light upgrade options and probably your own butler name jeffrey to ride along with you to work and serve up your expresso while you're driving.

There sure is a lot of bitterness toward BMW in this thread. Maybe I should go buy a Honda...

No, not right now. Yes, when you do 4G iDrive and LED tail lights and laser headlights.
