Which sideskirts are those? Can you share where you got them?

Eibach V1 (front only) fitted. Reduces 50% of the front wheel gap without affecting ride at all.

I love the M3 CS, but lack of 6-spd manual option is killing me inside. If it weren't for that, I would have already bought one. I wish somebody out there knew how to swap in a manual into these cars. The e46 M3 has a well documented OE SMG-to-manual swap, which is relatively straightforward, as it's been done plenty of times.
Some people suggested to buy a 6-spd comp M3 and swap a few parts from the CS. But I can assure you that it's not just a "few" parts. It would be way more work and more expensive to fit all CS parts onto a ZCP than having someone perform a 6-spd swap (especially if a donor car was used or someone was willing to swap). There's a reason why every CS owner says it handles and rides vastly different from the standard or comp M3's. It's because the entire package includes some significant changes that may not appear significant at first glance. Sometimes, these seemingly insignificant changes make a difference. I'm sure the shocks are completely re-valved alongside changes in suspension geometry. Steering rack may be different. Stiffer roll bars? Different wheel/tire combo, etc. I'm sure there's stuff that BMW didn't list in the official memo. All too often people talk about how the CS is the "same thing" and "overpriced". I strongly disagree. If history is anything to go by, I can tell you that the e46 M3 ZCP was a vastly different car from the e46 M3 CSL. If you actually looked up the parts catalogue, you'd be blown away at how many hundreds of part numbers between the two cars were not the same. Even the damn kingpin was different, shocks/springs, control arms, trailing arms, wheel size, tires, engine, manifold, exhaust, muffler, windows, body panels, etc. the list is huge. You wouldn't be able to tell most of the stuff apart because it differed by millimeters in some cases. Most parts had a "CSL" stamp on them. Even the parts that looked identical were different (either lighter or reinforced in some way). Hence why I believe the M3 CS is a different animal when compared to both the standard and comp M3. I wish somebody did an exact breakdown of all the parts that are CS-specific, excluding the obvious stuff like trim and colors. Last edited by 19x; 06-10-2020 at 10:39 PM.. |

Stunning car
Maybe add some overlays to soften the last of the chrome, on both the rear and grille badge |
