Mine came with a wire tap that you run to the JB4 to intercept the boost signal. No need for this with the Stage 1 kit since it doesn't tap into the CANBUS.

Mike, on a separate note, it would be awesome if P3 added exhaust flap control, CEL delete, active sound manipulation, etc.

+1 as mentioned but the stage1 also requires the tap. Even with stage1 the ECU does not see actual boost. The MAP sensor wire tap is required for both stage1 and JB4 to see actual boost, not ECU reported boost.

Wire to Tap

Mike,

I just received my P3. I have the ESS box. However, on the JB4 what wire do you tape for actual boost pressure and where do you tap- Off the sensor or the wire going into ECU. Any info you can provide would be very helpful.

Would be the same sensor and most likely same wire as on the JB4 but I am not familiar with the ESS and how they route their wiring. Best to email and ask but I suspect its the same as the JB4.

Hi Mike,

Does the p3 kit come with the wiretap for the jb4? Also, will you provide instructions for tapping into the jb4?
