Rear Axel Seal Replacement
Dealer found a leak on the passenger side rear axel seal. The car has been at the shop for 6 days now! Any idea how long this takes to replace? 2015 m4

Get a dual mount diff brace and oem poly bushings. They are yellow instead of black rubber. Otherwise it will leak again from the diff flexing under load. I installed diff brace and kept old seals and they stopped leaking. Cleaned up the grime from the leakage and checked back after some time, no more leaks. Replacing seals is a lot of work as you need to take apart the knuckles to pull axles out.

Intresting, Just got a 70K oil change and they mentioned I'll need to replace the axel seal as well...and marked the diff oil as red... I think they were too busy to entertain replacing that day, but I'm sure it will come up at 80K. Advisor made it seem like it wasnt urgent..
