Gts style hood

Hello all,

I just recently installed a GTS hood on my f82. I completely fell in love with styling with that hood, my only concern is the vent and it causing any damage to the engine with any water that goes in. Should i be worried? Everything on the engine including intakes is OEM.

There’s nothing to worry about. The GTS/CS cars came with a drainage pan that sits between the CF brace and the end of front cross link (the front piece the CF brace bolts to). The part # is 51648075611.

Safety? Yes. There are no differences in the engine bay layout and components on GTS/CS cars (excluding the GTS higher negative camber front strut top mounts which are far from the hood vent) compared to base and zcp models. If you add the front drip tray part, your car will be identical to a GTS/CS wrt a front vented CF or aluminum GTS/CS hood.
